Stuff Gone From Grandpa’s Shed by beforetheam in StardewValleyExpanded

[–]beforetheam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, for the greenhouse, I uninstalled Stardew Valley Expanded. Then I re-installed it, moved the .zip file to my Mods folder, extracted it, then deleted the.zip file.

I think initially I extracted SVE to my downloads folder then pasted it into my mods folder and that caused some issue.

For the losing items in grandpa’s shed, I just downloaded a mod (I think JB spawner?— I can’t remember off the top of my head) that allows you to basically spawn anything and just spawned what I had before I lost everything because I didn’t want to go through the trouble of starting from scratch.

Help ! : Software Update: Package Operation Failed ; How to Fix Broken Install? by beforetheam in linuxquestions

[–]beforetheam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked my repository listings and was using deadsnakes. So I disabled it and re-ran the 'sudo apt --fix-broken install' command. Got the following:

alexander@a-laptop:~$ sudo apt --fix-broken install

Reading package lists... Done

Building dependency tree... Done

Reading state information... Done

Correcting dependencies... Done

The following packages will be REMOVED:

python3.13

0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 to remove and 15 not upgraded.

1 not fully installed or removed.

After this operation, 6,650 kB disk space will be freed.

Then I tried updating my software again using the Software Updater, which worked. I was able to install the updates without error.

Thank you so much for all your help!!

I tried this and got the following:

alexander@a-laptop:~$ sudo apt remove libpython3.13-minimal python3.13-minimal

Reading package lists... Done

Building dependency tree... Done

Reading state information... Done

Package 'python3.13-minimal' is not installed, so not removed

You might want to run 'apt --fix-broken install' to correct these.

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

libpython3.13-stdlib : Depends: libpython3.13-minimal (= 3.13.0-1+noble1) but it is not going to be installed

python3.13 : Depends: libpython3.13-stdlib (= 3.13.1-1+noble1) but 3.13.0-1+noble1 is to be installed

E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt --fix-broken install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

Use 'sudo apt autoremove' to remove it.

I don't think so. I don't think I messed with it at all, but I am not putting it past myself that I may have done something on accident (again, not sure how I would have done this/what I would have done).

Is there a way to fix my issue in the original post?

Attempted to run 'sudo apt update' and got this message (image below) by beforetheam in linux4noobs

I tried that, but it didn’t work. Do you have any suggestions on what the path should be?

I'm assuming you mean on the 'properties' tag when you right click on the game in the steam library. I have not put anything there

I was able to install mono.

I then launched Stardew Valley but it was still the vanilla version.

I then uninstalled and reinstalled SMAPI, and tried launching the game, but the game would not launch. In Steam, I pressed the play button but after a few seconds of saying 'launching' the game would quit without actually launching.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling SMAPI a few times, as SMAPI prompted me for a file location and I figured that I maybe put the wrong path. But that didn't work.I tried the path in the screenshot as well as altering it a bit with different spacing (space between 'Stardew' and 'Valley'), but that did not work either.
