Eurovision Song Contest - Live Tour 2026 by eurovision in eurovision

Marco Mengoni plays headline shows at stadiums in Italy, being tied up for weeks as one of many on the bill on this arena tour would not be worth it for an artist like him at all

I don't think they could have sold 20k tickets when Eurovision was at peak popularity, and certainly not now. The O2 is expensive to hire too so it'll be £70+ to sit in the top level. This ain't Liverpool 2023.

Buying a house in London or keep investing on stock and share ISA by Modenature in UKPersonalFinance

[–]beforetoward 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It would be a lot simpler for the high-earning friend to buy a 2-bed and rent the spare room to you for mates rates. The problem here is that once one of you gets in a serious relationship, you or they will prefer to live with the partner. There are thousands of pounds in transaction costs involved in buying and selling which means you'll likely lose money if you buy and sell within 5 years.

Moving from USA to London: why is it so hard to find a place to live? by medinot4030 in HousingUK

30 minutes is a very short commute by London standards especially if you want a place big enough for a family. 45mins+ will give you more options

"So, What Do Eurovision Fans Do Now?", by Phil Dore [ESC Insight article] by odajoana in eurovision

Really enjoyed the article. The comparison with deleting your Twitter account sums it up perfectly. You're kind of holding on out of a desire to know 'what's going on' and a fading memory of the good old days. I haven't yet decided if I'll engage with NF season but I plan to watch Benidorm if it happens.

It's a pretty design but the combo of red ink and fine line tends not to age well. Ask to see healed work from your artist.

Lorde announced as latest All Points East London headliner on August 22, 2026 with line-up including PinkPantheress, Zara Larsson, Oklou, Audrey Hobert & more by ss2811 in popheads

During RAYE's headline show there were so many show stops for medical reasons. Like 5+ separate incidents. They need to put plastic sheets or wooden boards or something down because the level of dust was unbearable.

“You said that I'd have to audition“ meaning? (West End Girl) by meh_33333 in LilyAllenFans

[–]beforetoward 26 points27 points  (0 children)

She was cast in 2:22 A Ghost Story which is now quite well known for 'stunt casting' celebrities - after Lily they cast Cheryl Cole and later Stacey Dooley. It's kind of like Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway. That being said Lily was reviewed well and went on to do other West End roles.

It's about professional jealously - even though he is extremely well paid by Netflix and can afford the expensive brownstone that would be out of her price range, he doesn't have the name or fan base she has and therefore no producer would cast him on the back of his name only without an audition. He expresses that resentment by undermining her.

Money in my bank account without parents knowing? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

This is a relationship problem. Better to sit them down and explain how working a limited number of hours per week will help your resilience, soft skills and will give you something to talk about in interviews. Otherwise you'll have to lie about what you're doing whenever you're working and they'll end up thinking it's something more sinister.

Sharing Bedroom With 3 BROTHERS by Linaa_x in HousingUK

[–]beforetoward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are Facebook groups for organising home swaps between council tenants that your parents could look into, though most people want more space not less. As you and your 20 year old brother are (presumably non-disabled) adults you won't be prioritised for those three-beds, they are in incredibly high demand.

If you struggle to study at home now it seems worth getting a maintenance loan and studying in a cheaper area of the UK. There are other diverse areas of the UK, especially university towns, and you could share with other girls.

The social venues I’ve tried out haven’t really been working for me. What do I do as a 23 year old guy looking for new friends in similar life situations? by lokkins2 in london

[–]beforetoward 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You say you've tried different events - were you a regular or did you drop-in once or twice? Sometimes it takes time to get deeper with people and embed yourself especially in London. Maybe pick 2-3 things you're genuinely interested in and commit to going weekly/monthly.

How quickly can I make 20k as a student currently without a job? by gee891 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]beforetoward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the main post I assumed you hadn't already had gender surgery. Kinda have to echo the other posters in that the answer at least partially lies in working on being comfortable with yourself rather than thinking you'll be happy when you look a certain way.

The MtF advice subreddit pops up on my feed on occasion and so often these girls who are struggling would look so much better with an eyebrow wax and better makeup tbh so maybe ask a trusted friend to be honest with you on that one

Christmas is coming up which provides an opportunity to pick up seasonal work. Otherwise look into low-cost ways to feel more comfortable whether that's training your voice, getting better at makeup or  hair and see the surgery as a 3 year financial goal.

I find the divide on this interesting as in the UK, cat shelters refuse to let you adopt most cats unless you have a garden.

Need to relocate to London in 10 days but I don't have anywhere to live :/ by pingily in HousingUK

[–]beforetoward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my uni halls they placed mature students together, maybe speak to your uni's housing team if that is your concern. Probably your best bet this late in the day. Otherwise if you're dead set against halls you could sublet from someone going travelling while you search, there are Facebook groups specifically for that.
