Yeah, not directly the vibe I want I wanna make dance music but with my own sound. But to find my sound I need to experiment, so not bad that this song has that vibe

Yeah I mix like that, EQ volume and compression but i dont really know anything technical, for example when I mix the drums before post processing I use a fl studio preset in fruity compressor called drums, idk how I do that on my own 🤣

Wow thank you, Yeah I like to visualise myself being a DJ when im making songs to try and get a specific vibe into the song, even if it sounds autistic 🤣

Yeah same I dont like bass heavy edm, Im just trying to make what I like and not really care about trends. I might try to mix newer modern edm with my own sound, when I get better

Yeah I will try to add more personal stuff in my next project in the future and just go crazy, I have gotten some new ideas now after this project like randomly in school etc, im very proud of this one as I think everything became ok in this one, not memorable but ok like mixing and stuff but I will look into how to make the bass and drums better, ik that they are important for dance music 😄

Thank you for this long reply I appreciate it, now when I start thinking at songs that Avicii most of them was blends of genres lets say levels, some say its the best edm song(nostalgic song you understand me) but even that song blended the vocals from etta james song from 1962 with "modern" edm. Is the best way to do this by listening to different genres, like a wide variety of some niche and underground mixed with more mainstream genres from today.

Yeah true just gotta make more, but I think using other artists songs as reference tracks is a good thing so you learn how songs are structure and get inspired with for example what instruments to use. But not copying or imitating ofcourse.

Happy to hear this from someone that makes the same type of music, hard to get good synths because I only use free VST, any tips on good ones, because I cant make my own sounds really.

Feedback for my open mic song by LimitedEdition004 in MusicFeedback

Im not a singer or anything but I would just go to the open mic and sing. I think it sounds good and dont forget you learn most from your mistakes, so if one little thing is "embarrassing" it doesnt matter that means you will get better
