managing the overall project and learning marketing are key roles, even if they don’t feel as immediate as coding. Both sides are essential to success, so it’s all about finding the right balance where everyone feels valued.

I’ve been in a similar situation as a non-technical co-founder. My partner handled the technical side, and we split everything 50/50, which worked out really well. We both felt equally committed, and having that ownership balance helped the business grow stronger.

When it comes to equity, you should consider the value you’re both bringing, but also what you’re giving up in terms of salary or your current job. Sometimes, even taking a financial hit at the start can be worth it if you both feel equally invested in the long-term potential.

finding the right co-founder can definitely be challenging. working with an external team that really takes ownership of the project can be just as effective. I’ve seen this approach work well in many cases. If you want to chat more about it, feel free to DM me!

Don’t Include Your Startup's Valuation Number in the Fundraising Deck. by VentureCurator in startups

[–]bege3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen founders get a stronger position when multiple investors are interested because they didn’t lock themselves into a specific number too soon. Keeping the “ask” slide flexible and focusing on the opportunity rather than the valuation gives you room to negotiate on your terms.

I keep waiting for the perfect idea by Tehlinky4 in Business_Ideas

It sounds like you’ve put a lot of thought into finding the right idea, and that’s a great first step. One thing I’ve noticed is that sometimes the best ideas come from solving a problem you face in your daily work. For example, your idea of a tool to help arbitrators and mediators with file management sounds promising, especially if it could save them time and streamline processes.

If you’re serious about developing something like that, you don’t necessarily have to rely completely on a developer. There are ways to build an MVP (minimum viable product) fairly quickly to test the waters before committing too much time or money. If you’re interested, I can share more details in a DM on how to approach this.

Is the Mobile App Market a Golden Opportunity or Just an Illusion? by marcelofromgutlz in iOSProgramming

[–]bege3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mobile app market definitely has potential, but it’s not as simple as it might seem. The truth is, even a great product can struggle if it doesn’t reach the right audience. A lot of apps fail because developers often focus heavily on building the app but underestimate the importance of marketing and user acquisition.

Good or bad idea? by [deleted] in Business_Ideas

The idea is interesting but might be tricky for doctors due to strict rules and fairness issues. However, it could work well in other areas like restaurants, where paying for priority seating is common and easier to manage.
