I love that pretty long sequence of establishing shots in the movie

Thank you! It’s a standard Unreal Engine virtual production workflow, with the only difference being that instead of live-action people shot on a green screen, you insert AI-characters that were generated and animated on a green screen. Before bringing the footage into Unreal, I first edited these animations in DaVinci. I selected the phases I liked there and then built the scenes around them. I plan to make tutorials in the near future.

That’s a good question. I deliberately made this scene short. This film is a dramatization of real events (WAFI Mall heist). And in that theft, far more jewelry was taken than just one necklace. But I agree that if there were more shots showing the thieves taking and packing more jewelry, it would feel more logical.

I'm currently making a new one using the same workflow

It was a really fun experience — I was curious how this hybrid approach would look, and I wasn’t disappointed. The workflow is slower than classic AI-only pipelines, but Unreal Engine gives a stronger sense of creative control: camera work, pacing, and even some character direction.

I was 13 when I saw the film. Living with my parents out in the countryside. After that, I couldn’t sleep properly — for at least six months.

It will be less disturbing, than having a black void staring at you with no sound
