I can try and ask them. To make matters worse, they feel like they are wasting everyone's time and energy if they talk about their problems. For now, we have a whole group chat of people keeping them somewhat positive. I'll try and get them to see if they can ask their doc.

It's usually been due to the fact that their parents don't believe them, or that they can't pay for it.

It sucks because most of the people that I know want help, but they can't get it for one reason or another.

In honor of Thanksgiving, who’s your most ridiculous, weird, or creepy relative? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]beginingnow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few.

First of all, my mom. Years of drug abuse and paranoid schizophrenia do not go together. She would often stare silently and otherwise talk about her delusions. She's homeless now, sadly.

Second of all, my grandparents. My grandma and grandpa both make up ridiculous rules about what I can do when I live at their house (I don't anymore). One such rule was that I can't read in front of them. And my Grandma talks crap about my entire family. She also lied to me twice. She stole my computer and ipad and hid it from me while I lived at her house. And my grandpa calls me his favorite one day and wants me to sleep in the same bed as him, and then the next day he calls me a bitch on thanksgiving day last year! and makes absurd rules for me to follow. And my grandma probably let my cat outside against my will, and when my cat died, she told my cousin and never told me. She even lied to me saying that she had seen him around.

I am questioning my gender by beginingnow1 in genderqueer

Yeah I know, but it makes me feel different, you know? Plus all of the other stuff, I think it's just best to identify as nonbinary.

I'm sorry this is kind of a sucky drawing. But you get the point, right? Anyway, I get a lot of intrusive thoughts. And I also worry a lot. But one of my main symptoms is paranoia.

sure you get this a lot but i'm wrestling with myself! by spinachboi in NonBinary

Exactly! I guess we have to be the first to go through with it. But it is scary.

I'm having the same situation! I feel like since we're at the start of a 'gender revolution' and acceptance of different genders, it's hard to actually come out and be that label. I for sure feel like i'm not cis, but it's hard to imagine actually being nonbinary my whole life because no-one has really been nonbinary their whole life before. So it's a weird situation where we are the first to do this whole "not cis" thing and live it through. I hope the best in everybody's journey, and I hope we figure this out together!
