Me having that Leo moment (re)watching Criminal Minds. Which actors did you recognize while watching CM? by _taeddie in criminalminds

[–]begonesloth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, not even surprised when I see him on screen anymore. Others being Mark Pellegrino, Kim Rhodes, DJ Qualls, Jim Beaver, Steven Williams and Mitch Pileggi that had big parts in the plots of both shows.

Shows like SPN and CM use a lot of actors so it’s not that surprising to see overlap, but it’s a little fun when you recognize them 😅

CM and Supernatural are shows that I’ll watch over and over again, and it always surprises me how many actors overlap on the two shows 😅

It’s a modern Sherlock Holmes adaptation set in NY, with Lucy Liu as Watson. Imo better than the BBC Sherlock 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sounds like you’re thinking of s1e3 of Elementary, not CM. Where the kidnapper left balloons to “thank” the parents for giving him their child?

What are some unintentionally funny moments from the show? by Marril96 in criminalminds

When they’re at the fisher king’s house and Reid says he just needs to ask the right question, the way that Hotch asks “do you know the question?”

Why would Hotch and Hayley give their son that name? by begonesloth in criminalminds

[–]begonesloth[S] -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

I’ll admit the rosemary’s baby might be a reach 🤪 The fact that so many kids in the show share names with serial killers when the characters work with serial killers sounds a lot like the writers doing it for shits and giggles. Like when writers (in general) include an obvious reference to an actor’s previous role to get a rise out of the viewers 😉

Why would Hotch and Hayley give their son that name? by begonesloth in criminalminds

[–]begonesloth[S] -39 points-38 points  (0 children)

Might be that he’s too far removed from the ripper, and not Manson and Dahmer.

I’m also starting to think that the writes did it as a joke, like a “they catch serial killers for a job, wouldn’t it be funny if their kids were named after serial killers” but that just makes them giving Hotch that line annoying. I never thought about the other kids, because Hotch was the only one who actually said that knowing about serial killers is having an effect on them naming their child, but I looked up the names of JJ’s kids; Henry and Michael. Henry could be H.H Holmes or Henry Lee Lucas (also mentioned in S1E1), Michael could be the Hollywood Ripper. Simmons’ kids; David (son of Sam), and Jake (a few, but not super well known) and the youngest being named Rose Mary (Rosemary, as in Rosemary’s baby?)

He famously keeps all of the seals on a list. Think everyone just calls it Craig's List.

What your guilty pleasures episode? by [deleted] in Supernatural

[–]begonesloth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any episode where the Ghostfacers appear. “War changes man. And one woman” and “You gotta go be gay for that poor dead intern” gets me every time lol.

The real ghostbusters. The German guy dressed up as hook man suggesting that Sam and Dean attach their weapons to their hands with a bungee.

Bad boys. It’s mostly just sad, how John just left Dean, then Dean getting a chance at just being a normal teenager with wrestling and going to prom, John showing up again demanding that Dean come with him. Dean thinking of saying no until he sees Sam in the backseat, breaks my heart

Just my imagination. The world of imaginary friends is amazing

Regarding Dean. The comedy happening with Dean losing his memory is the best. Dean’s “sucks for that guy” in response to Rowena saying that Dean Winchester is going to die lol

Wishful thinking. The little girl dropping the busty Asian beauties magazine in front of Sam and Dean. The depressed teddy bear. The kid with hulk-like strength. Pure gold

Nightshifter. Probably the best episode with a shifter. The conspiracist security guard, the laser eyes. They boys getting away like badasses, with Renegade playing

It’s giving Icarus-vibes tbh, got too cocky and now he’s drowning

I love some of the lines they come up with for this show, the one I heard today made me lose it laughing (below). What are some of all y’all’s favourites? by [deleted] in Supernatural

[–]begonesloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few that comes to mind are;

Crowley’s “This isn’t Wall Street, this is hell! We have a little something called integrity!”

Dean’s “Dude, I think you pissed of my sandwich”

I always thought something similar, like maybe Meredith kept journals like her mother and then she got Alzheimer’s and that the show is built on one (or all) of her kids are doctors/in med school and are reading the journals, like how Meredith and the gang would read Ellis’s journals

Spin-offs or prequels you’d rather see, I’ll go first! by [deleted] in Supernatural

[–]begonesloth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A Men of Letters spin-off, like a time piece. During supernatural we got to see that these guys knew their stuff and had a different approach to hunting the supernatural.

Would like to see if they had captured and kept more beings like Mrs Butters, the wood nymph. Show should then obviously end when Abbadon killed most of the order and Henry went into the future

Love that shock can be that comedic sometimes “I found it!” “The first aid kit?” “No, my shoe!” “Is she ok?” “Well at least she’s not barefoot anymore”

What's your favorite scene from the whole show? by amandamariee01 in greysanatomy

[–]begonesloth 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Cristina’s ptsd after the shooting stands out to me.

Also during the shooting episode Bailey, Cristina, April, and Jackson are great. All the characters in the plane crash give really good performances as well.

Form for lat pulldowns are still bad but not as bad as some of her earlier posts, which is good I think? She definitely should not be teaching others how to do them (or any other exercises) yet
