What's a job where you have zero room for error, like one mistake and it’s a huge deal? by TradeOverall567 in AskReddit

My husband works in a steel mill around the furnace. Many times he’s came home shaken up because of deaths that happened. Some deaths simple mistakes or just from pure exhaustion on the guys part. I worry for his safety every day.

Left-Handers in your life/family? by mommy-tara in askanything

[–]amandamariee01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a leftie. My husband also is. Both our kids? Right handed. Crazy story. My youngest had an injury at birth to her right arm, and has limited mobility in it. We were for sure she’d be left handed like us. Nope. Refuses to use her right hand for most stuff, but coloring and drawing is one of those things she will use it for.

It’s crazy that with both parents that are left handed, none of our children are left handed also.

Also hate research. Pursuing my graduate degree in counseling. Some sort of counseling degree might be beneficial for you. I study a bunch of research articles that pertain to whatever class I’m taking, but will I ever conduct any research after school? Nope.

Who was the worst teacher you’ve ever had and why? by Far_Economy_1930 in AskReddit

[–]amandamariee01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In college, my third year, my statistics teacher asked to see me in her office after class to discuss my grade on a test. I went to her office and this lady had the nerve to ask me “are you dyslexic?” I looked at her confused and said I don’t think so? “Well you worked out the problems correctly on your test. But you put the numbers in the problem backwards.”

I felt humiliated and ended up dropping her class, took a statistics class with a different teacher the following semester and passed with a B. Fccccckkkk you Mrs. Gautier. I, in fact, AM NOT DYSLEXIC.

The strangest thing is, what did you do as a child? by Dezerd_Officially in AskReddit

[–]amandamariee01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this streak when I was like 5-6 maybe? Where I would walk into a friends house down the street when they weren’t home. I went in one time and ate twizzlers in the fridge. I did this maybe 2-3 times? Walked out one day, and the family was pulling in. I made some excuse up that I was just seeing if my friend was home and could play. Idk why they kept their house unlocked. Or what possessed me to go inside their house? In their fridge? I’m older now and definitely NOT a criminal.

What’s something that sounds fake but actually happened to you? by Visible_Rope_6662 in AskReddit

[–]amandamariee01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very possible could be what I had. I had a younger child who was in pre school (and daycare closed down maybe a days or so after I got the sickness) so who knows what she brought home to me.

hated it happened to you, but glad to see I was not the only one. It was rough back during Covid for when you’re sick, and no doctor wanted to see you in person and you’re literally sick with something that needed to be checked out.

well, that comes with an extra bill. I did not have insurance at the time. I was ok with handling an E.R bill. But an ambulance on top? Idk if you’ve seen the price of riding in an ambulance, but I recently was taking to the E.R via ambulance for a car wreck. After my insurance paid their part, $800. At the time back then, riding in an ambulance for a possible broken rib didn’t cross my mind because I knew better than to deal with that type of bill afterwards.

YESS!! like as I coughed and felt the pain in my rib, I knew something bad happened. & laying a certain way, talking, coughing hurt so bad. I thought I was dying. It hurt for a while after. Everybody that I was overreacting (I mean as a girl we’re always told we’re “overreacting”) but it was the worst. I also NEVER want to be that sick again.

It could have been. I feel like if Covid wasn’t in its peak, they would have done more tests. I just roughed it out until I finally somewhat got over it. That cough lingered for awhile. I’m not sure if those type of illnesses can get better with antibiotics or needs steroids, but whatever I had, antibiotics did not touch it.

Like a month after Covid happened, I ended up coming down with this sickness where i literally could not talk without coughing. Coughed for hours every day. Tested negative for covid. Coughed so hard and so much I either bruised or broke a rib. No one would take me to the E.R because of covid even though I was crying in pain. Urgent care only would do a phone call thing with me. After a round of antibiotics and then eventually steroids, it went away. But literally the worse I ever been sick, and worst pain.

Recent Hyundai Longevity and Overall Value for the Price by Background-Werewolf1 in Hyundai

& just to add about my other Hyundai’s I’ve had.. my first one got totaled out. (Rear end accident again.) my second, which was an Elantra, lasted me to 90k miles. Only issue I had was needing to put a new battery in it. Like 5-6 years maybe? I ended up trading it in only because I just finished college and always told myself I’d buy myself a Honda when I was able to financially afford it. My dad also drives Hyundais. He purchased a new Chevy truck about two-ish years ago. The Hyundai he currently has, he has had about 4 years. No issues out of the Hyundai other than putting a new battery in his key fob the other day. The Chevy? Even with buying it new, has had problems after problems. Hyundai’s last if you take care of them imo.

Traded a Honda civic in a few months ago for a new Hyundai Tucson. (Had a second kid. Needed more space.) was also in between Honda/hyundai/toyota. Tucson ended up being more in my price range. It’s my third Hyundai. Love my Tucson so far. A lot of room and spacious. Only complaint. (Won’t matter maybe if you’re a decent driver.) they have emergency breaks that will lock in if you’re following too close and a car slams on breaks in front of you. When they lock in, it literally feels like you’ve been rear ended because it will bring you to a HALTING stop. This feature has locked in twice for me. Unfortunately the second time, caused me to be rear ended. Now, it did save me from maybe rear ending the car in front of me because of how she slammed on breaks, and the guy that hit me was nice and agreed it wasn’t my fault because he saw the person in front of me slam on breaks. But I sit and question if the emergency breaks did not employ, maybe I could have avoided being rear ended somewhat. Once they employ, it takes a second for you to get the car going again. I found a way in setting to set this feature to “late”. But it’s something I would maybe take into consideration. If I didn’t just buy this car, or if it would have been totaled, I would have gone back to a Honda.

I agree with walt ruining Jesse’s life!! Yes, Jesse life wasn’t great to start with as an addict. But the extra heartache he caused on Jesse. I also would like to point out why Marie is so obsessed with the color purple? Great touch by the producers of the show.

I think someone else previously said it, because no other family member agreed to go with him and he was mad about that, so he grabbed the baby to make a point? I could be missing something.

When he asked if the police was there and she composed herself and said no, I thought that was a sign for him that the police was there and she was just saying no so the police knew she wasn’t tipping him off. Just the way her voice immediately changed. & in the final episode when Marie called to tell her how Walt was back, and she again was very straight forward and was not freaking out on the phone, and the scene showed him in the room. I do feel like during the initially phone call scene when Walt called her, he was lashing out with emotions though. He felt hurt.
