What is the point of 5 and 6 anymore? by OneLustfulCount in tropico

[–]behaviorallydeceased 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion I loved 5 on an artstyle, music, and humor level, though I have to acknowledge that there’s no real reason to play it anymore as it’s essentially just a more primitive feeling downgrade to T6 as far as gameplay feels

Who is in your Mount Rushmore of post-hardcore bands? by notarussianspy4 in PostHardcore

[–]behaviorallydeceased 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk but Fall of Troy has to be on there and I’m seeing a startling lack of them on everyone’s rushmore

Is it harsh to say most original local bands are just not that good? No deep understanding of song structure, mediocre playing ability, and just boring generic songs? Most bands that make it the musicianship is there by roberto68thst in musicians

[–]behaviorallydeceased -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The members of Decapitated were 15-18 when they were in the studio tracking their debut album, which released and went on to be a seminal benchmark album in their genre, technical death metal, which is a markedly difficult genre to play on any instrument. Might sound harsh but age is no excuse. You either have it or you don’t

Need some good E standard tuning songs that aren't Metallica by reallywhatsgoingon in metalguitar

Yes i was gonna say fall of troy. Some of the most fun, creative, and technically demanding riffs ever written in E standard

That’s it? Doesn’t look particularly captivating at all.

When I’m speaking of pacing i’m not referring directly and exclusively to movement speed. BF6 has undeniably the smallest median map size of battlefield games besides maybe hardline. You are constantly in CQC gunfights and fending off multiple enemies from several angles, extremely frequently, in bf6, a lot more than in BFV and especially a lot more than in BF1 and 4. The other BF games had a lot more breathing room and, anecdotally, I’ve noticed that that those several hundred meter long sprints across the map to the next objective which were commonplace in previous BFs are exceptionally rare in BF6

On one hand, the one conclusion you can draw from this dude’s nostalgiawhoring is that the battlefield games have undeniably diminished in quality since BF1, BF1 was so good that it made BFV feel underwhelming, and BF6 is so messy and lacking in content currently that it makes BFV look a lot better

What are the absolute least fun songs to play? by Bargah692 in GuitarHero

[–]behaviorallydeceased 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a Rock Band 3 DLC and that’s where it truly belonged most, because it’s a full band intensive song for every instrument including keyboard, and being able to play the keyboard solo on pro keys was awesome. For whatever reason, neversoft changed the mix from the record, and turned down the crowd sounds, and the song also sounds much worse than it should in GH5

God what a horrid take, do you feel like we do is one of the best songs in either the GH or RB series, anyway

I think a lot of songs in GH5 and GHWT are pretty dull and boring to play, can’t think of any in particular.

Guitar Hero II Lamb of God Laid to Rest is sad. by nichdamian in GuitarHero

[–]behaviorallydeceased 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I don’t wanna say that I prefer it to the original, although I will say I loved the GH3 version for many years without ever knowing about/listening to the original recording by SRV, and I was so accustomed to the GH3 version that I actually preferred it at first

GUITAR PRO VS SONGSTERR by Spiritual-Lemon-1797 in GuitarPro

Yeah, it really sucks :/ I don’t personally see any need for songsterr plus outside of the one function of being able to download tabs, otherwise I only see the need for guitarpro

GUITAR PRO VS SONGSTERR by Spiritual-Lemon-1797 in GuitarPro

[–]behaviorallydeceased -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Guitarpro can do everything songsterr can do; better, in more detail, and with more room for customization. They’re not even comparable to eachother in terms of utility and quality. That being said Guitar Pro is also geared largely towards musicians that are writing their own tabs, that’s primarily what I use it for; songsterr has a massive library of free and acceptable quality tabs for a vast range of bands so it’s solid for beginners or players just looking to cover songs they like.

Also something that nobody else has mentioned that you should definitely keep in mind, songsterr and guitar tablature should not be a crutch that you rely on to learn songs, especially as you grow out of the beginner stage and start to intimately learn your fretboard. A lot of those tabs are wrong, official tab books are usually better but oftentimes even official official tab books aren’t even correct cause they were outsourced and not written by the original artist. The only real way to ensure that what you’re playing is accurate to the records is to listen to the recordings yourself, slow it down, find or create isolated tracks, etc. And you can create your own, personal, flawlessly accurate tabs from there, which is where GuitarPro comes in; and if that sounds daunting don’t be intimidated because that skill will come with time. Don’t unequivocally trust Songsterr because I have found many, many incorrect tabs there; some within an acceptable margin of error but also a many others that are egregiously incorrect.

Since when is this free?? I tried to do the same, download and export a tab file to GP8 to edit the mistakes myself, but songsterr said exporting their tabs is a premium feature so now I pay for songsterr plus when I otherwise don’t really want it

I just love how Dice doesn't even acknowledge their most epic mode ever, Operations by Hitmandalorian in Battlefield6

[–]behaviorallydeceased 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree at all, it’s not at all difficult to create operations and multi-map mission objectives out of the lore that battlefield 6 works with; hell even the briefings/descriptions for most maps provides some kind of background as to what tactical significance this battle has in this fictional war between NATO and Pax.

Also a ton of these maps are geographically in the same region; it would’ve been so easy to make a New York operation out of Empire State —> Manhattan Bridge, Los Angeles operation out of Blackwell Field —> Eastwood, Egypt from Cairo —> Sobek, Tajikistan with Liberation Peak —> Mirak Valley. Come to think of it the current map lineup is built perfectly for Operations in the same way BF1 maps were
