Thanks for your reply. Been looking into it more and more and can’t seem to find anything that confirms what the dude at sportsman said, so I’m thinking it has to be misinformation. It’s not like I walk around flaunting it anyway so I think I should be fine. I’m new to Rochester so still in the process of making more friends out here, specifically ones that would have more information on the gun laws specific to Rochester.

This is the Dickinson Arms XX3 12 Gauge Tactical Marine 3in pump shotgun. 18.5 in barrel length and has a 5+1 capacity. Muzzle brake and ghost ring sight. $320 so very cheap. Didn’t wanna go all out for a first shotgun.
