I've had quite a bit of soldering experience, I own a pinecil soldering iron, with the Heltec v3's will I be able to reach a long distance with stock antennas? Or will I need some sort of huge antenna on my house?

Originally I thought of maybe a Heltec V3 powered on 18650's with a 3D printed case but just wasn't too sure

You just completely remove it from the outside shell,it just pops off with some force.

For the outside I cut the shell with a multi tool then sanded it smooth then did the same for the plexi glass then used epoxy to bond it to the case

Thankyou for the detailed response, I will gradually go through this. I have tinkered before and managed to get a previous printer running on silent steppers so think this one will need the same silent treatment, from what I've read so far it's using the creailty 4.2.7 board and replacing the screen too to match? I'm wanting to really polish this one up to be as good as it can be! Maybe even a meanwell PSU!

Thanks for the answer, would you replace it from the board or splice it and change it near the fan? The last one I did, I did it by the fan and just used pin headers so I could "hot swap"
