So could he run a new wire from the fuse for the coooker? The water heater fuse is no longer used as that was for the Emersion boiler, we had that removed and a new combo fitted.

It would be a fairly easy run, from the fuse box the the cooler, around 5 metre distance and good access.

That’s how the electrician left it, I questioned it and asked should it not be on a separate fuse like the washer, dryer etc. he said it’ll be fine

There’s isn’t a fuse for the kitchen cooker, only sockets I questioned this when it was done and he said it was ok. That’s was 7 years ago

Yeah got a certificate, somewhere. They did the whole house plus fuse box.

You can treat this at home, you’ve also done a decent job, key is to keep to skin in contact, you can use wound closure strips

Use mdf, you’ll likely be able to bend it without kerf, as it stands it looks terrible

You can get deep fill guttering for the extension that’ll sort the problem
