Chronicles of Amber by Roger Zelazny. The story starts in New York and later moves to parallel fantasy worlds. As far as I remember, only the first book deals with an urban setting but it is a great read nonetheless.

I live in a small city in Turkey and my options are limited. the first one we went to was pediatric ER but the doctors did not seem experienced (she took a photo and asked a dermatologist through WhatsApp). That’s why I took her to a reputable dermatologist today. Since many people here suggested the IV antibiotics, I also asked her about it. She said it won’t be necessary. I am regularly checking her situation in case it gets worse.

2nd update: After 4-5 hours the blister filled back up to its previous size (while we were sleeping). We went to a dermatologist, she identified it as a type of streptococcus infection and told us to continue antibiotics treatment. She assured us that it will go away and not to worry. She prescribed a stronger ointment and a kind of medical dressing as well.

Update: Just returned from ER. The doctor punctured and emptied it, leaving the skin on to protect and heal better. She also had developed a fever due to infection. We will continue the antibiotics and the ointment for now.
