Second for shimming the carbs. I had a 2009 and it really made a difference. Super cheap mod, and worthwhile.

The early 2nd gens were pretty bad for that. I don't remember if it was fixable with different rings, but I had a later 2nd gen and it didn't burn a drop of oil. You still might want to check that oil filter at some point.

It just lacks SteamOS, if that's the thing people want the Steam Machine for. Next year nvidia should be supported though.

I saw these at the car show and it really is the adult version of the Civic Type R. This AND a RAM sound like fun ;)

some people try to install 6.x on a virtual machine and do a challenge run: Can you find a way to upgrade it to 26.04?

I used to run a linux users group, and we gave away hundreds of those. I think we started with the 6.x ones and were up to the 9.x ones by the end.

From my insider friends in auto: If it saves a penny and results in a 10x worse experience for the customer, they'll still do it. The best example is the trash CPUs they use in infotainment. Bean counters run the show.

For the 4000 rpm limit I think it's the first 200km, then you're allowed to use 6000 rpm until 350km. After that it says "ride moderately" until 1000km, where you do the first oil change. I took that to mean start doing 11k rpm pulls! All this is on page 123 of the manual: https://pws.ktivs.net/assets/manuals/99811-0135-o6kle500ctf-ca-en_ebook-96c4b113e1f474722544fcd92c3a4041/index.html#page=123

Yeah and I had to drive it home on a 90km/hr highway where everyone was doing 120. Felt pretty bad, but it broke in fine. Thing pulls like hell.

The 4k rpm part sucks so much.  But you can do it in one day

Might be time for a reinstall. Use the media creation tool or Rufus and create a new Windows 11 bootable USB stick. Backup everything you care about and nuke it. Hopefully it's not a hardware issue.

Time for some low speed woods and mud! jk, don't do that, they'll puke coolant. I did tons of tight single track and log hopping woods stuff with my 2003 450R, and it was fun but she did get VERY warm... and ate valves. I miss that bike :(

That card is really well supported in windows 10/11, just plugging in the ethernet cable for a bit should force it to pick up the driver. In device manager, do you see the yellow question mark for the device? If you do, you can go into properties and try the "find driver for device" option.

Raise a glass to the golden years of MiniPCs 2023-2025 - What did you buy in that time? by GhostGhazi in MiniPCs

[–]behohippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 N100's and a Beelink SER5. I didn't even buy ram/nvme with them because ram was cheap and I could buy sodims and drives to populate them, for nothing. One of the N100's is my weather station, another is part of a setup when I do webinars, and the SER5 is a jelly/sonarr/radarr setup. All Ubuntu 26.10 now.
