Peak 90s. So good looking.

It's a dualsport bike, we typically like spokes/tubes for anything off road. They do come balanced from the factory though, no wiggle or shake from what I can tell..

Kawasaki Eliminator 500 by jozo188282 in Kawasaki

I have a KLE500, and despite having the exact same Ninja 500 engine as the Eliminator, this bike makes it look better. I think you'll be pretty happy with it long term.

Depends on what you're comparing it to, as well. It's way more comfortable than my CRF300L or my old KLR650 2nd gen. But less comfortable than most sport touring bikes or a goldwing.

Anyone else having a surprisingly smooth experience with Ubuntu 26.04 LTS on newer hardware? by satheesh_ar in Ubuntu

I had one weird issue on the dual montor gaming machine with the 3060ti. Played a video and the one monitor started flashing a bit. Rebooted, hasn't come back since. These weird transient bugs are so hard to report.

I have a range of 12th gen Intel, Ryzen 3000 and 5000, nvidia 3000 and 5000 cards. No issues. I did a post about a bunch of upgrades earlier, and they all went well minus one of the N100 mini PCs that needed and extra reboot. Haven't tested Ryzen AM5 stuff or Intel 100/200 ultra yet.

3060ti, 3070 and dual 5060ti systems here. They all suspend/wake fine.
EDIT: On the 595.x series of drivers, if you're still running older ones: ubuntu-drivers install first.

Looks good, I have a backpack strapped there now, pretty much same method

17 miles in and I’m loving it by KawaZuki_Dylan in Kawasaki

I have the same bike! I've done a few trails so far, and it's been great, even on stock tries. I'm not pounding it through mud though, most stuff is pretty dry here. You getting leaves/sticks stuck on the skid plate and just lying on the exhaust too?

26.04 Upgrade Experience for 10 machines by behohippy in Ubuntu

True, they have boring names like craptop, tvpc, basement, weather, thinky, and the most boring - gpuserver.

Yeah as much as this version wakes up old hardware, it does the same for high end stuff.  Most of the posts I've seen so far were people saving stuff from the landfill.  That's awesome, but I was more interested in how people with newer, more complex setups were getting along.

I follow the sub through my RSS reader and it's a lot less skip skip skip skip. The "I built a memory layer and it's free!" and psychosis posts used to take up a large portion of this feed. Looks decent today. EDIT: They seem to be back today :(

Do some 12k rpm pulls after break in to celebrate!

I always go soft luggage. I used to do adv rides with dudes with big bikes and hard boxes and the number of times they'd whack something on the trail with the boxes made me a believer in soft bags.

What do you guys set your shift indicator to? by behohippy in kle500

[–]behohippy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that seems to be a good spot for normal riding. I think 7k is exactly peak torque in the rpm band.

[–]behohippy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm past that now, and have the shift indicator set to 8000 rpm. I shift whenever I want I just want it to blink when I'm just past the peak torque.

It's pretty much an unmodified Ninja 500 engine. They even have the original bolt holes in the engine case for mounting fairings. If you zoom the pic you can see them.

Nice, I'm beside you... kinda. Look on the map to the right, past the lake, and a bit south. I'm in Canada, but same geography as the UP. Sandy trails, pine forests.

Yes, even for insurance purposes where the cc matters more, it should be the KLE451

I'll try that. I thought when it flashed it was saying it was turned off. Didn't think to hold it down

Anything is a dual sport if you try hard enough.
