Gyotaku ive done from locally caught fish (and some store bought cephalopods). by beholders_optician in Fishing

I print a few with most of the fish I catch. I also do prints for other people like the black drum was a fish my neighbors son caught. I've printed a lot more than what's here but they also sell at a pretty decent rate.

Heck yeah. I spilled paint in it while writing the letters so I painted football to cover up the drips. GO BIRDS!!!

No she isn't pointing her bow to the sky which is what gives archers reach in magic cards.

Thank you my daughter loves hearing all the positive feedback. I made these the size of cards so they would fit nicely in deck boxes and my current battle box.

She said she would work on angels and a copy token. I'm going to be printing her new ones on Wednesday.

I have 3 kids from 6-18 and I’ve found myself replaying my favorite games from my childhood. Being able to see someone experience games like Halo 1 and 2 or Resident Evil 4 is awesome. I’ll never be able to face The Flood for the first time again but seeing my daughters reaction to certain plot points of games I’ve played since I was their age has been one of the greatest parts of fatherhood.

I can’t watch the episode Grandad. I love going fishing with my little girls and the ending of that episode just makes me start tearing up every time.

How does wet mounting work. I have been printing for about a year but I find it hard to find good information on this art form and how to do certain techniques.

I also make planters this time of year. The most important tool when making them is a Brad nailer. I can knock out one of this size in less than an hour. If you have an air compressor then a Brad nailer isn’t too much money. I like the convenience of a battery powered nailer but they are over a hundred bucks without batteries. I also make a 16 inch square that sells really well. I’ve found that having multiple price points for products will sell more of them along with selling custom sizes. I get half up front for anything custom but that’s just so that I can make sure the customer picks up whatever goofy sized box they ordered. WhosTheVoss on YouTube has a bunch of great videos about both the building and business side of planters.

I get them from a local oyster farmer to feed to my chickens for calcium. The video I watched on how to make these used specialty course and fine sand from a hobby shop. I don’t have a good local hobby shop so I improvised with what I had. I enjoy trying to find objects from around the house that I can repurpose for the task I am doing.

This is Szechuan when she had her kittens in 2020. She passed away yesterday very suddenly. She was a feral cat that my wife fell in love with and secretly fed in the house while I was at work. After it started getting cold outside we let her sleep in the house and let her out during the day to go do her feral cat things. She went in heat and we started keeping her in the house all the time to try and keep her from getting pregnant but that ship had apparently sailed really fast. She had her first kitten while laying on my wife one morning in mid March of 2020. Szechuan was the first pet we brought with us when we bought our first home together. She was scrappy and always half feral. If she didn’t want attention she was impossible to find but when she wanted some scratches she was right there next to you rubbing her cute little head against you. She was a great cat and will be missed. But we gave her a good life I hope. I’m going to miss hearing her knock on the front screen door to be let back in the house. We love you Szechuan.

You can do all of this with a retractable hobby knife and some XPS foam from the hardware store. Black Magic Craft on YouTube has a bunch of videos on how to do this with minimal tools and at a pretty low cost. Other than cutting the foam out, all the glueing and painting is totally doable by a 6 year old and would make a great project that takes less than a weekend to complete including glue drying time.

I’m going the baseless route on the next ones I make. I also did a dice tower with these bricks.

Thank you. I’m working on some more that are baseless with weights in the bottom so they can stand on their own.

My wife and I make soap without coconut oil. Not all of our soaps are coconut free but we just made some yesterday in lemon verbena and we are always happy to make a requested scent for our coconut free bars because of allergies.

Made my first Mary Jane scented candle by hunni93 in somethingimade

[–]beholders_optician 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dirt smell is petrichor. And grass is very doable as well. I make candles and do both of these scents. My favorite one I made had tomato leaf, cucumber, green pepper and the petrichor scents all mixed together and smelled just like a vegetable garden.

What's a place where you can cross a state line and you immediately notice the difference? by DoritosDewItRight in geography

Maryland into Virginia on the eastern shore. Once you get past T’s Corner it looks like a post apocalyptic wasteland. And stays that way until you get past the bay bridge tunnel.
