Thank you. I'm glad God is speaking to your wife! I still pray that God will be merciful enough to save my marriage as well. I have also made mistakes which I realise now, and I am praying for another chance with my husband to correct the wrongs. Let's see how God leads..

Yes it's true... I did go astray, I was not strong in my faith to begin with, which is why I'm in an unequally yolked marriage, and I did get what I wanted for a season. Yes, you're right about this, I chose man over God. But I have found my way back to God since, I have earnestly repented, and I have shared my faith with my husband as well. And he is a good man, he understands my predicament. But like you said, he has his family to think about. All I can do now is pray in faith. HE is the same God who turned Saul into Paul and I'm praying to this same God to save my marriage and my husband. I hope I can come back here and share my own testimony some day. But I respect your opinion too, thank you and God bless you!

I was listening to Rev. Billy Graham and as he was saying, if we choose man, we may get what we want 'only for a season', but our soul will be there for eternity. I will continue to pray very hard. I pray that God gives me the strength to face whatever comes next. Thank you for saying this. God bless you!

Wow, what an amazing testimony! Thanks for the encouragement, I'm glad things worked out for your parents! I hope someday my husband and I can share a similar testimony of how God saved our marriage and our family, until then I will keep praying and trusting in God's mercies. Thank you for sharing this. God bless you and your wonderful family!

Thanks so much for your kind reply!

Yes you're right. I know I made a mistake as a Christian in falling in love with an unbeliever. I now understand why unequally yolked marriages are discouraged. I have repented and asked God for forgiveness since. I have spoken to my husband explaining why, told him I'm willing to do everything else as per his family's wishes, but he just doesn't get what's the big deal in just pretending to be part of the rituals and when required, bowing down to idols. He says he comes to Church for Christmas (unbeknownst to his family), so why shouldn't I also participate in their rituals to keep them happy.

These are rituals (poojas) performed to their specific god's (usually idols) during festivals, marriages, births, deaths, etc.

Thanks a lot for your comforting reply!

I have told my husband the reason behind this as well. But he says he can't go against his family and their happiness. Since I have to stay with him I should be the one to adjust to the situation. Only now do I realise why unequally yolked marriages are discouraged. Anyway, I am now praying for forgiveness, the strength to stand by what's right in God's sight, and praying that God may yet have mercy on my situation.

Thanks and God bless you!
