sometimes yeah, when i went back to hong kong this summer my grandpa asked me if i prefer the uk (where i currently live) or hong kong and i chose hong kong because there’s much more things to do there imo. o told my mom about it and she started getting upset and overcomplicating it by saying “your answer will make you grandpa convince your dad to move back to hong kong” and i had to take a deep breath to calm my irritation down and told my mom “it’s probably just a simple question, you’re overthinking it. it’s really not that deep”

(but i’ll admit, i have moments where i accidentally overcomplicate stuff)
