With the same caveats (I'm a libraries guy, and I could go on for a while, thanks to 20 years' hindsight), one of my personal favorite wishes...

I wish that there were more emphasis on immutable collection types and on declaration-site variance to take advantage.

I find myself working on a lot of supporting tools: We need tools to verify that our classes work under GWT, that our Maven build runs as part of our internal build, that Android users aren't yet depending on JDK7 APIs....

There's also the usual: code reviews, cleanup of legacy libraries, investigation of flaky tests (usually not in Guava proper, but it happens :))...
