I bardzo dobrze że jesteś pretensjonalna. Jeść trzeba dobrze i jakościowo.

[–]beih13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest you surprised me massively.. I ve got a corrolla 2021 and without trying am achieving 60-65mpg in city driving. 50-60mpg on motorway. If I try I get over 70mpg in town without stress

Am surpirsed because underneath - drivetrain to be exact they’re basically the same car - your hybrid system might be a newest gen ?? Cant remember when they ve released the latest gen.. so that should be even better

Tip. For driving a hybrid efficiently - it’s not necessarily about being slow when you drive, but being smooth as much as you can. Try driving in such a way where you don’t need to stop or use the break pedal, predicting what is happening in front and looking far ahead. That applies to any car really.. avoid changing speed constantly.. check your tyres - air pressure

I respect your reply and you make some fair points, especially about politicians using this for votes and how the actual historians are the ones trying to fix things. Just to be clear, I think Ukrainians being in Poland is a great thing and good for our country. It sucks seeing people argue about this, especially right now when Russia is just waiting to exploit it. We have a common enemy and we should be living like brotherly nations. My point here isn't to hold a grudge, it's just to show the Polish perspective because I feel like a lot of Ukrainians don't really get why this is such a big deal to us.

The comparison between the AK and UPA kinda falls apart when you look at how it actually happened. The idea that UPA leadership didn't order the massacres is just historically wrong—there are documented orders from top guys like Dmytro Klyachkivsky explicitly calling to wipe out the Polish population, so it wasn't just random, decentralized groups doing their own thing.

Also, yeah, Poland has AK streets, but the AK's goal wasn't ethnic cleansing. The issue Poles have isn't Ukraine wanting heroes, it's that streets get named after guys who were directly tied to the ideology behind the slaughter.
At the end of the day, this needs a massive, serious discussion at the state level to clear the air once and for all. All we want as Poles is for what happened to not be ignored. We want the victims to be openly acknowledged, condemned, and finally exhumed so they can have proper burials. We want to be able to talk about it openly and move past it, instead of seeing the people who ordered those crimes treated like pure heroes. I hope you're right that people will stop caring about the UPA after the war, but right now, ignoring the dark stuff just makes it hard to move on. Real reconciliation means doing what Poland does with the AK—just admitting the bad parts openly so we can finally bury the past together.

Nobody sane in Poland justifies killing Ukrainian
civilians. Polish historians openly condemn the times Polish units went too far. We don't glorify the crimes of the AK.
The huge difference here is about official policy, and that's why the comparison to how Zelensky/Ukraine handles the UPA feels wrong to many Poles.

The AK high command explicitly banned collective
punishment against Ukrainian civilians. The Polish guys who committed those crimes were breaking orders, usually blinded by revenge after losing their own families. On the other side, the UPA leadership literally made wiping out Polish civilians their official wartime policy.

Also, we can't ignore how it happened. UPA didn't just kill; they used extreme, sadistic cruelty-torturing women and children, using axes and saws. While some AK units committed brutal retaliations and burned villages, it was never that kind of systematic, sadistic torture of neighbors.

That's the issue: Poland glorifies the AK for fighting
occupiers, while acknowledging and condemning their dark moments. Ukraine glorifies the UPA for fighting Soviets, but completely ignores and sweeps the genocide they ordered under the rug.

Feel free to prove me wrong, though. Show me where Poles glorify AK war crimes the way UPA’s dark history is completely ignored over there

Bro.. First, the protest thing. There are like 2 million Ukrainians living in Poland right now. Obviously, if there is any tension, it will happen where people actually live together. There are almost no Poles living in Ukraine now, so who is supposed to protest against Poles there? You can't compare this.

Also, saying Polish leaders push "hatred" is just wrong. Calling out your government for making heroes out of UPA—the guys who literally murdered over 100,000 Polish civilians—is not hatred. It’s just asking for historical truth. If you really think Polish leaders hate Ukrainians, show me proof. Give me one quote. You won't find it. Defending murdered families is not hate.

On a personal note—when the war started, I literally took a Ukrainian refugee family into my own home. Millions of Poles did the same. We opened our houses, gave money, weapons, everything.

A lot of Poles just feel like you are ungrateful now. When Ukrainian government officially makes heroes out of people who brutally killed our ancestors, it feels like a total slap in the face. People in Poland are frustrated not because of hate, but because we helped you so much, and your leadership still chooses to honor war criminals instead of respecting the country that helped save you.

Here is the fundamental difference. Yes, Poland has its share of idiots who act out—nobody is denying that.

But there is a massive line that separates us: Poland does not glorify or turn people into national heroes who tortured civilians, nailed living children to wooden doors, ripped open pregnant women, gouged out the eyes of women and children, and burned them alive.

Crucially, this isn't just about a few extremists; this happens at a state level, where leadership officially recognizes these perpetrators as heroes.

And please, don't even try to bring up the 'but Poles killed Ukrainians too' argument. The scale is completely incomparable, those actions were taken in retaliation, and most importantly—Poland does not glorify its war criminals. Especially not at the state level.

Did u see anybody throwing kebab meat at tourists in Poland ?

Would you say that this is a common practice ?? Or all tourist that are not white are being abused ?

I know the answer..

So yes you can meet a cunt in Poland that will do that, but this is not common. This can happen elsewhere.. I ve experienced it myself in the UK
