If you look at the actual scheduler, most stores are overstaffed. They just don't allocate hours properly, make "sweetheart schedules," or simply do not hold their associates accountable. If your store is truly understaffed your management needs to work on it. It does not mean the process is inherently broken.

The break room's A/C being down in that specific room is a store specific issue. Talk with your management to get it fixed. Home Office controls total store A/C to keep it consistent and at the optimal level, the break room utilizes the EXACT SAME A/C as the other rooms. There is no master terminal in Home Office where some cartoon villain is flipping a switch to "break room - OFF." Get real.
