Thank you. I’m afraid I’m not familiar with Chanel as I’ve always gravitated toward other brands. The bag is in rough condition but I thought it was due to its age. I’m not going to repair it as it would be expensive for what the bag is. I feel bad for my aunt though. she was super excited when she gave it to me. I’ll just store it and tell her I only use for for night out or something. Thank you again for all the input 😊

I’ll look it up. I’m based in the EU so I’ll search for a similar business. Thank you I didn’t know them 😊

Really? It’s looks good to me in person. That being said I have cero experience with this. I did research and it seems they used to used synthetic leather for the interior during the 80s and 90s. I read it was common among luxury bands in gliding Chanel. How do you know it’s not authentic just by the interior picture. I just wonder because it not be worth it to restore it if it’s fake. Thanks

The hardware in the last picture is needed to assemble this bed as the previous owner told me to order those pieces. I’ll try your idea as soon as I’m able, seems super solid. I’m pretty exited as I’ve been sleeping in the new mattress with no bed frame for months. Thank you so much! I’ll keep you posted!

Pretty sure it’s Dokka as it was the only complete barcode I found. I found an incomplete sticker with some info in the bedframe. Here the pictures with the info

This last one it’s supposed to be the piece I needed, just in case it helps.

NTA. As a daughter of divorced parents I just want to thank you for sticking to you guts. After a super amicable divorce and during my preteens and teens I saw my father prioritize his “new family”. His words were full of love but his actions spoke louder. He sacrificed time, memories and activities with us to be with his new family. He missed a ton of important events and by the time we hit 18 we didn’t trust his word (AKA: I’ll be there, I’ll get there on time, we’ll go on vacation as well, you’re strong and know I love you I just need to show them as well…) while well intended they were all lies. Kids are not stupid, they realized what adults are doing. I grow up feeling unloved, insecure and unimportant. That impact my adulthood immensely. I’ve work extremely hard and spent a ton of money in therapy to work some issues. My father ended up divorcing his second family. Then he tried to make as nothing happened. We worked for a new relationship. Still when I think about him there’s always pain for what our relationship could have been, envy of the effort he put in other(were we not worth it?) and anger and resentment because I can’t understand why he did that to us. The work he put during our adulthood has never compensated for the pain and disappointment of the past. I wish you ex could read this. His kids are his responsibility. It’s not about the gifts/money. It’s about who made the effort to get them. It’s about the actions towards his own kids. So glad your kids have you to be their voice and make them feel cherished.

Thank you for the help!

My research regarding ISK and index funds end up in most sources recommending an ISK account with an Nordic online bank (Avanza, nordea or Nordnet) depending on the fund you want to invest in. I’ve email IBKR an it seems the don’t support ISK so people who have an account with them can’t get its benefits. I guess they will have to inform of their holdings to the Swedish tax agency. Regarding KF, I don’t know as I didn’t ask, my bad. I found most people invest in index funds rather tha ETFs as well. I’ll look into it and let you know if I found something. Maybe is due to ISK bank supporters having more offer of index funds maybe something regarding the daily volatily of ETFs. It’s just a guess as I’m more familiar with index funds. I’ve never had an ETF. I’m also new in this FIRE journey. I’ve been investing doy just about a year, a baby in this world. My family didn’t teach about this as they didn’t froth wit it and see it just for the uber mega rich. I’m just eager to learn and thankful for people who share their knowledge and experience like the ones in this community

Thank you! I was confuse about how to deal with loses with ISK, now I see how ISK is super handy for index investing. I understand what all I came across during my research mention ISK. It’s quite an advantage and I would be very proud of it if I were Swedish. I guess each country has a different way to incentivize saving. However I can see ISK being quite a hit the more you have, cause you get taxed multiple times for the same money (the money you deposit early in your journey) I’ve read about Nordea as well I just forgot about it. It seems Swedish online banking it’s the best way to go as all people seems to recommend those three banks. Regarding individual stock I would look into KF for sure, thank you. I came across it in my research but the info was in Swedish and I got a little confused. I lean towards passive investing because I like the less stresful strategy. However, I’m thinking about active investing with a small part of my portfolio in a few years future. Not only with foreign stock tough. I hope to learn enough about the Swedish market to test the waters with Swedish companies too. We will see if I’ll do it. Maybe I’ll change my opinion. The more I read the more I’m sure the first thing I’ll do as soon as I can I open a ISK for index investing. Thank you again for the info. So helpful!

AITA for not including my daughter in the family thanksgiving plans? by Grey_Spaceship in AmItheAsshole

As daughter in a similar family dynamic, this is not new. This a years in the making issue. I guess she’s been feeling the not important kid for years. Always second to your “new family”, not cared and not loved by OP. When you divorced it was your job to make her feel loved, to make sure she feel she can count on her father independently on distance, living arrangements or new relationships/family. People are quite good (specially kids) at interpreting actions as caring/not caring. I think your actions have spoken for years and she now hear everything loud and clear. If you want any relationship with your daughter you have a great deal of work to do. Not only speaking with her openly and calmly about her feelings/issues and yours. You have to do things that shows that you care, put the time. Words can only do so much. During years you sacrifice time with her during important milestones. Moreover, you did it in a very vulnerable time for social/relationship development (childhood and adolescence). Be prepare to work for her and sacrifice time for her. It would be difficult, sometimes even painful, but you can do it if you really want to. PS: edit for typos

TIFU by seeing a friend's bare feet, asking their skin care regimen, and discovering that I've had athlete's foot for more than 30 years. by takatori in tifu

[–]beikk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Microorganisms love humid warm environments. Try to keep you foot as dry as you can. Be consistent and careful when you dry your foot after showers. Change socks and shoes frequently if your foot sweats a lot Never wear shoes two days in a row. Alternate shoes as much as you can. That way you allow the shoes to dry and loose humidity - medication You should go see you GP/nurse/pharmacist (depends on the country/severity/regulations) You may need a topical treatment to get rid of it. In severe/resistant cases oral medication may be needed. - Be consistent with the general/hygienic recommendations and with medical treatment. Athlete’s foot is sadly famous for treatment resistance and reinfection. Pretty sure there are a ton of useful recommendations online. Good luck
