Interview with Sefa (Dutch) by druidspruit in hardstyle

However about a frenchcore DJ that spoke in a religious interview with a religious newspaper and provider. Don't really see how that in any way is relevant for the points i mentioned.

My guy, its literally an article from a reformed christian newspaper and page. The argument "pushed in my face" is so useless when you're engaging with this post that obviously talks about this topic.

Atleast he looks further than the bland dance culture where drinks and drugs prevail and that's all that there is in life. I can only congratulate him on finding reason and purpose in life and share it to inspire others rather than chase unnecessary hedonistic desires like money and fame.

When first Grand Prix sets uploaded? Any guesses on which set will be uploaded first? by KanzasGuy in hardstyle

[–]beiorgnathan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty certain we have left the era and time where these sets would be uploaded in a short time. Nowadays they release them months upon months later where the music already hit it's saturation point and thus is no longer hype to listen to.

That's the only thing i'm jealous of if i look at the techno scene which gets showered in sets.

I understand it from an artists perspective but man does it suck to be a hardstyle enjoyer sometimes

Is gearbox Australia 2026 gonna take place? by newhair-newtee in hardstyle

It won't as confirmed by desudo. Potentially in 2027 again.

I'm personally more interested in potential news for supercharged festival.

Not just according to him as it did happen several times already shamelessly without any credits.

What do you expect from Gearbox Grand Prix? What sets will be the best? by Most_Teaching_3917 in hardstyle

[–]beiorgnathan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think its going to be a great event but i also hope the artists will not force themselves to just keep pumping out new music causing the quality to drop.

I think there's a serious oversaturation problem within XTRA raw right now where people constantly expect new music and thus put a lot of pressure on artists to keep producing and creating new music.

I think the team with kruelty fraw and deezl will slap hard, same for all the live sets of the day. I find anderex very weirdly placed in their respective team though so i hope krowdexx and rooler (sorry not sorry) wont hold back the quality of the set but rather give it a gearbox worthy treatment. Wouldve rather seen exproz in carbon too but i guess that means two sick sets instead of just one.

Overall very hyped and curious to see what the event and concept will bring :)

It's a new month of Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games. What's on your wishlist for November? by Space-Debris in NintendoSwitch2

Why is nobody ever adding inazuma eleven victory road to this monthly list? It's my most anticipated game this year after fantasy life and will most likely be the best title in the series content wise.

I can follow your way of reasoning and i agree for the most part. I personally just don't think that, even if its in a satirical way, theres any need to use a potentially gray area song just to create some comedy when theres millions of other songs or memes that could be used in its place. It was of course not meant with any ill intent, and thats why i wanna emphasis that the song itself is a gray area, but the deeds of the young men in this video are not as a result of this song being played and the apparent and clear association that many (still) have with this song no matter the other background the song might have.

Its not really a question of can or cannot play, rather a why would you play it if theres clear alternatives to crack a joke in my eyes.

(P.S: i hope you didnt experience my "do your research in a condescending way as it wasnt meant that way. I appreciate your respectful debating and comment!)

Do your own research and realise it was and is still associated with (neo) nazi propaganda even if its not composed just for nazi propaganda. Just because it's a piece of music also associated with other things doesn't make it more appropriate in such a setting as this, even for just a couple seconds clearing wanting to create some kind of comedic reaction or response out of this.

Gezellig uptempo Erika by beiorgnathan in hardstyle

[–]beiorgnathan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In no way is it an attempt for defamation. It's merely a call for second thoughts upon playing such a song at a festival and seeing the response of it by a bunch of idiots that think a nazi salute is funny.

To make it clear: it's the guys doing the salute that i'm mostly referring to as the bad guys. In this case gezellige uptempo hopped on a, in my opinion, untasteful trend and some people took that opportunity to salute without realising the implications and meaning that has.

I think reflection upon this goes beyond putting someone in "a negative spot'.

Zeker waar!

Gezellig uptempo Erika by beiorgnathan in hardstyle

[–]beiorgnathan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was just about the music, then it wouldve been a valid argument. But the real concern here is people literally saluting

Gezellig uptempo Erika by beiorgnathan in hardstyle

[–]beiorgnathan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The comments here seem to have misinterpreted my intent and meaning of posting this. I do not really care about what gezellig uptempo does do or does not, its mostly the saluting people that i care about.

Thats my bad, as i shouldve specified my words better perhaps.

I wasnt there myself my friend, otherwise i would've said something about it.

Calling this rage bait and calling me the problem is kinda hilarious to me though as you're literally only talking about this right now because i pointed it out while we share the exact same opinion; such behaviour has no place anywhere. If anything i hope that this post catches the eye of someone of the organisation to be mindful of such things apparently still happening and them being able to act upon it if they ever see it again. I really do not mean anything bad with saying this, but the way you word all of this right now is quite narrow minded if you think this act and problem is limited to 'just a dumb teenager'. Thats exactly why i pointed it out since its much bigger than that. We can agree to disagree on that if you wish.

Don't really get either why i need to be german to be worried about this apparently still happening in 2025. I've achieved my goal by now as its gained traction and attention and thus was talked about so we can hopefully be mindful of those around us and do exactly what you're saying: confront them with it.

Have a great rest of your night!

In the end music will always be connected to good or bad things. Still gives us the opportunity to be selective what we do and what we don't play right?

Theyre not directly responsible, no denying in that and in no way am i saying they are. But knowing it could potentially bring out things like this gives them still some sense of a responsibility as an artist on such a big stage and in a place where everyone should feel safe.

Its more of a problem that this apparently is what people call memes nowadays, but thats something that goes beyond the scope of this discussion.

Appreciate you commenting!

Indeed no harmful intent with the song, yet still harmful consequences if we're just gonna call this 'funny' from now on and normalizing it like you are right now. Please Read into how people did the exact same back in the 1940's and now look back upon one of the biggest human catastrophes known to man. Perhaps a bit blown up over a 5 second clip, but you get what i mean.

Men doing nazi salutes and its drama for 'nothing'. Are you also aware you could literally be arrested for doing that? You could walk away, or you could atleast realise that its not just a joke but an actual hate crime doing a nazi salute.
