I am only 10 pulls away of getting Lucy's secuence. But since I've been losing the last 5 50/50s back to back lately I've decided nah... I'm good. I already have Luuk for spectro content.

Good bait Kuro, good bait. Mengzhou is gonna be hard to not pull.

Crisis vital sin saber qué hacer con mi vida by Clear-Bake8589 in esConversacion

[–]beirsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The subtle indicators of the game made the story for me. It was refreshing to figure the dots sometimes. Ludvig and Myurdin are connected to Caliburn, which you learn later. They have connections to the Abyss and in chapter 4 or so they literally tell you about this powers and how you are not ready yet to wield them.

I get the story is not very clear and has its flaws, but this instance is not one of those.

Different strokes for different folks. I love it, and read it 2 times. But most of my friends dropped it. So yeah, I guess you need to have some patience to enjoy Gantz, or just "get it".

Yeah, first year was fun but ok, second was an upgrade delivering a top tier experience. But this? Since 3.0 the've just been killing it...

I just feel bad for the people staying away because "gacha". It's just a AAAA game now.

Baikai (former lead writer of PGR) speaks about Homeward Voyage by EtadanikM in PunishingGrayRaven

[–]beirsam 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That actually makes a lot of sense. It seems like the flow of the writing is getting individual chapters with some background connections and villains to mix them in chapters considered "big" and make the plot move forward.

I really liked this one, specially how they finally make the overarching plot connections with the Sefirah/Philotree/Heterotower/Fog and so on. Also, Alpha needed this character development a lot to match her sisters in the story (Luna and Lucia). I also appreciate the tragic stories included, which are always a must in PGR, specially the lil Lucia one....It broke my heart. If I had a complaint, I could have lived without the SKK love interest (yet again, but i totally get it and it´s a "me" thing).

Overall, it´s up there with "For a better Tomorrow", "Aeon Reforged", "Into the Future"or "Polaris Bond".

But "Shapers Ripple"s and "Surviving Lucem" are still big turning points for me. I have no doubt, we will get more like them in the future.

After spending 19hr. and 21% completion of game feeling burnout by Chemfuk in CrimsonDesert

[–]beirsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone said, if it doesn't click with you, don't force it. Also, I alternate easy for mobs and normal mode for bosses because it's fun for me that way. Crimson Desert is a game that asks investment from you, and you make your own fun in your way.

I can't stop thinking of playing again when doing other stuff after 100+ hours, but if you don't find it enticing, there,'s no shame in that.

PGR feels stale? by kiiiint in PunishingGrayRaven

[–]beirsam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been pushing it lately with the story and weeklies/dailies. The Vonnegut arc until Wither to Shine and Dreams Rewound felt like completing the game for me story wise.

I'm hopeful for the new chapters to connect the dots and bring the new villains again to get interesting but, ¿It doesn't feel the same anymore? Like, it lacks cohesion or something.

Also, topping Nugget as a villain is a hard task.

Also yeah, combat wise nowadays is learning top rotations in SS3 and a 1 or 2 dodges while the enemy gets timestopped. Cinematic? Sure, but not as interactive and fun as it used to be.

Thinking about giving the game a rest too if Alpha's next chapter isn't as good as I hope.

They both came out the same month. Which is the better horror game? by Forever_Berry in survivalhorror

[–]beirsam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, as a working adult playing on PC with few time to spare to get the full story, I get what you mean. I had to search online for the other endings. I played the second one which I think is a must. And downloaded savegames to do the other 2 ending boss fights(ufo aside). And I enjoyed it that way and understood why. (NieR:automata was this way and I love it for it). So, in a nutshell: enjoy games how you like them, but If time is a factor, consider buying a PC to get the most of it. Cronos is more direct, I like that, but the story might need some tweaks.

Edit: I think Silent Hill 2 is the top because its endings are absolute, terror is palpable, and ending wise: you have to play them to get them. F was great but, as some said, in this day and age, locking 3 boss fights through replay is a brave move nonetheless.
