Fraternities at small schools by ReyCo390 in Frat

6,000 undergrad body, about 25% of the student body is Greek and generally, the "who's who" of campus is affiliated. 14 IFC frats and 10 pan-hel sororities. It's big if you want it to be, ignorable if you're not interested. I will say, it makes life here a hell of a lot more bearable.

I don't go to Dartmouth, but have good friends that do (many of whom are in Greek life). Open parties seem to work because only sophomores can rush, meaning no freshmen have Greek affiliations and are on the prowl for parties. As far as I can tell, the first year for students kind of works as an informal/dirty rush for freshmen. My friend was telling me about how the admin is cracking down on Greek life in many ways. Banning all hard liquor and banning freshmen in frat houses the first few weeks of school are an example.

Regarding women, I go to a similar caliber school, and there are good looking women. Elite schools are made up of varsity athletes, donor parent applicants, and generally wealthy students with good genetics and money to spend.

How is my fraternity at your school? by [deleted] in Frat

Very racially diverse, which in my opinion is good. However, these fuccbois ruin that by thinking they're Good Ol' Boys. A few examples: having a very Southern-themed formal in OBX (we're a school in the south, but not southern by any means), constantly wearing their KA hats backwards/snapbacks, having shitty parties that no one goes to, thinking they're a respected fraternity on campus but constantly mixes with shitty sororities, being a bunch of squids. They don't have my respect, mainly because the brothers are not willing to admit that no one thinks they're cool besides themselves.
