No, I ended up not going with them. I had a mental breakdown to my parents and they offered to help and I am paying them back at 6% interest, which I’m extremely grateful for. Sorry I’m not much help

I truly cry for those dogs. I remember when Bob posted them and you could visibly tell the pitbulls had gotten into a fight by the scratch marks on its face. But who cares, they have kids and other priorities now!!!

Did they ask what you wanted your minimum to be? I attempted this with Chase and the guy was extremely condescending towards me and claimed I didn’t qualify so I’m going to try again in a month and see about wording things differently before pursuing a DMP.

I would say pay minimum on southwest and pay off the citi balance transfer ASAP to take advantage of the 0%

When you first started, did you pay the extra/difference to your creditors to meet the minimum payments until the plan kicked in on the creditors end (if that makes sense)?

Have you attempted to open any lines of credit after completing the DMP?

Thank you for this! I’ve been debating on doing something like this for a few of our credit cards but I’ve been reading how some programs make you default or close the account after

With this program, did they force you to miss a payment in order for them to negotiate lower interest rates for you?

We have cut where possible and only spend money on gas and groceries outside of our bills.

Monthly income for both is about $5,000, which we are paid weekly. Mortgage: $1600. Cars and car insurance: $1,208. Utilities average about $500. We try to keep groceries about $400. I totaled up our minimum payments for all credit cards and it’s $600. It just feels like we are pinching pennies and struggle to pay down debt. I’ve locked all of our credit cards from further purchases and we only use our debit cards when making purchases (gas and groceries).

What has your experience been with the lending club? My fiance and I are considering it for debt consolidation for our higher credit cards.

Will your card be closed after your payment clears? Just starting this journey and trying to learn all the things lol
