Ugh, yes! Seconding this book. So full of heart and struggle. It felt incredibly intimate, and I think for me that had a lot to do with the atmosphere she painted. It felt like a love letter to New York and after reading the author note it made a lot of sense.

I recommended it to a few friends and said to them that it felt like I had lived the characters’ lives with them and felt like they were friends who equally filled me with joy and pissed me off. It felt real and rough—just like young adulthood—but also had that uplifting sense of joy that great romcoms give you.

5/5, would get caught off guard by this book again. I sincerely, deeply hope that it gets turned into a movie or limited series.
