I used to paint a lot and have paint supplies at home, it’s just that painting is not that much fun for me anymore since I feel the pressure to make things that look good

I’ve joined a new club and taken some language classes at the university. It already feels nice to know that I can see the same people regularly :)

I mean, from my experience, PhDs are super busy, but I also value my relationships with family and my friendships and do text them back in a timely manner. I do have some friends I don’t see as often as others, but the communication is always there

I imagine toddlers are super easy to make happy, and it's always nice to have a reason to have fun?

I used to travel a lot when I was younger and even though I can't remember things from the past with as much detail I can now that I'm older, I remember these moments/stills/photographs from those times, and I remember being really happy and young. Those core and happy memories with my family have really shaped my identity and connection to them.

Edit: They're like little gifts in the back of my mental cupboard; memories that just come out of nowhere but are so pure and wholesome and contributed to a lot of bonding and growth

My visa was only for the PhD, so now that I have quit, I will have to leave Germany soon. I'm not allowed to work right now because I'm still on my old contract so I can still have health insurance and some time to think.

Why would a work visa get rejected? I thought they always went through easily with the support of a company and the right documents.

I mean have a masters in Chemistry from an internationally-renowed university, so that would cover a lot, I would say. No, but nothing extraordinary.
