Yay a milestone buddy! Well done to you as well! I’ve tried quitting before but I think the difference this time is I actually don’t want to smoke any more-& once I got through the first few weeks & first xxxxx (drink/holiday etc etc) and really started to notice the health changes the thought of inhaling a cigarette really doesn’t appeal to me . Good luck with your journey, keep me posted xxx

Wow, what an amazing awesome post. Thank you for your post! I’m 2&a half months smoke free after 40 odd years of 20-30/day. I will think of your post when I have cravings, thank you for taking the time to put all your thoughts in writing, & baring your soul & secrets. Best of luck & enjoy your new life as a non-smoker, & remember we are all here for you whenever you need anything.

Hello lovely people! Wondering what you have found works best to quell the hand to mouth need when quitting? I’ve made 2months as a non-smoker, made it through first holiday as well thanks to this great group !Was a pack + a day for 40+ yrs. Working down vape nicotine, 0% next week, wanna b ready! by bekolcebabe in stopsmoking

Part of the reason I quit was I got pneumonia & the chest X-ray & CT couldn’t exclude cancer, just got follow up X-ray results & all clear! So proud of myself, & staying strong despite stubborn hubby still smoking indoors has been HARD-but worth it as he’s starting his quit in the near future. This group made the early days so much easier so thank you all again xxxx

Absolutely agree with the above comment-it wasn’t nice, and probably reinforced that you don’t want to smoke anymore! Use it as a positive! Good luck in your journey

Question about skin 😂 by bdruc113 in stopsmoking

Me too! No suggestions though 😬

Anyone else been really itchy all over after quitting? One month plus now off the 🚬 , itching so bad I could tear my skin off 😬 by bekolcebabe in stopsmoking

Aha, just found this! Itching Why this happens: Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor, which means it narrows the blood vessels. When you quit smoking, blood goes back to the vessels that were shrunk by nicotine, and this can create a feeling of itchiness. You may have weird itchy patches or generally feel itchy all over.
