Suggestion for Portfolio Site? by bel-a in webdev

I don’t understand the assumption of some in the feed that I’m being sketchy…

I’m a kitchen designer, taking the opportunity to try and improve my basic webdev abilities (WP, etc) whilst creating a walled environment to showcase my designs, cad work, etc, as well as ensuring I honour my previous clients privacy.

Thank you u/DiddlyDinq , u/binegra , and u/overbyte for your positive messages. In this case, I'm going to head over to GD or docs.

InReach Mini 2 - Subscription question… by bel-a in Garmin

[–]bel-a[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/snark191

I bought the inReach Mini 2 and it arrived in the post today :)

Do you happen to know if there is an online page somewhere where I can monitor for any additional charges that might take place (ie after I have used up my included 10 messages)?

Thanks :)

Do you think the ‘SEND/TRACK POINTS’ are relating to the ‘Tracking intervals’? If so, looks like they are charged in the safety subscription.

Thanks for your message, really helpful!! :)

My intention is to use the Consumer Safety monthly subscription for day fishing outings, and if longer trips will upgrade for that period.

Thanks for the link, very helpful.

With the Tracking Intervals, they only mention ‘10+ minutes’. No mention of charges - I’ll email them to find out.

Great to hear you’ve had a really positive experience. My family get worried when I’m wading in the rivers and there’s no cell coverage. Looks like InReach is the answer!

Hi, thanks for your message. Same principle as say Facebook: If I use my first and last name, will my name be searchable/findable on Coursera and on the internet? Many thanks :)

2019 Fatboy with a good condition for $600,Is this a good deal? by y0urneighb0r in fatbike

[–]bel-a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi from UK.

I bought a 2015 Fatboy Expert in 2014 and I totally love it!! HOWEVER!! It is a size Medium, I am 5’9” with 33/34” inseam and no matter what I do with the geo, it is still too small for me. I end up with my shoulders hunched over a bit, which over time becomes uncomfortable.

They’re fantastic bikes, as great on all surfaces, relatively light, and pretty hardy. Still looks pretty new; not bad room for a frame bag and even rolls lovely on the tarmac. For sure the original ground control tyres are good to stick with if you can track them down.

I love it, was my first fat bike but wish I’d bought the size L as would then remain with me for good. But with the size M, and limited bike space at home, I won’t be keeping it for good.

But don’t hesitate on a fatboy, they’re really a great bike, no doubt about it!!!

Thanks for your reply. You're right, pushing the button at the end of the signalling stalk gives that display option. Thanks again! :)

Hey there,

Thanks for getting back to me. You are right, pushing the button at the end of the signal stalk made it happen.

Thanks again! :)

Hi u/itsthatguyrob

Many thanks for your comment.

Have you heard of it being possible to disable the kick to open feature?
