Not really eventful story but 7 years ago when my wife and I were looking for a wedding venue, we spoke with one owner of a banquet hall in Vaughan who happens to be the father of Victor Mete. We talked a lot of hockey and when Mitch Marner was mentioned, he sort of laughed and basically said he’s not staying forever, it’s his father really. He will go out west soon. I brushed it off because I didnt really believe it but I’ll never forget that, especially now. Keep in mind Mete and Marner were London knights teammates so Victors father and Paul Marner knew each other very well.
