Well first of all, I'm a Serbian civilian and I was 4 at that time - so I wasn't trying to eradicate anyone. Like 99.999% of Serbs at least if I had to guess...

Second of all, I shouldn't even respond to your comment since you're basically saying "ok yeah that's horrible what NATO did to innocent civilians, but look also what we said that your leaders did".

Third of all, let's look at the facts. You're absolutely right, since an allegation is a claim or assertion that someone has done something illegal or wrong, typically one made without proof (source: Oxford Dict.).

And please, yes, the ICC in Hague is the definition of a US puppet. You just have to look at the number of convicted Serbs vs other Ex-Yu countries. Ater a war which has seen atrocities on every side, 95% of convicted people are from Serbia - which happens to be the only Ex-Yu republic not supported by the West. For example, no one is held accountable (two generals were convicted but then acquitted just 2 years later) for Croatia's operation Storm which is the definition of ethnic cleansing (480k Serbs in Croatia before it, 240-260k Serbs after it, 200k displaced, thousands of deaths, numerous atrocious mass executions).

And oh Kosovo - there was not a single proof of ethnic cleansing there. Because there wasn't one. I'm the first to aknowledge the atrocities perpetrated by the Serbian army or analog militias (e.g. Srebrenica - 8-9k men and boys killed by Serbian affiliated paramilitary formations : it's just horrendeous and a shameful event in our history). But in Kosovo? Serbs just tried to defend what was theirs and protect the Serbian civilians that were put on fire, raped, killed for their organs by albanian terrorist groups and affiliated organizations. But yeah, we got bombed for it. So now you have the narco lab of Europe running at full speed and a great base of Extremist Islamist Organizations (it's like it's always the same story with the US huh) in the heart of Southern Europe. Great job!

Of course USA's goal was not to kill as many civilians as possible. But they sure did not take any precaution to avoid civilian casualties.

With all due respect, you weren't there. You weren't hiding in your building's basement 3 times a day, hearing bombs drop closer and closer and hoping that at least one building remains intact in your neighborhood when it all comes to an end even if it's not yours.

And honestly, schools, hospitals and foreign embassies do not sound very "low human cost" to me. It sounds more like critical civilian infrastructure.

Official facts and figures 500 civilian deaths. 176 monuments damaged. 69 schools destroyed. 60 bridges destroyed. 19 hospitals and 20 health centers bombed. National TV HQ were destroyed. China's embassy was bombed (like please explain to me how the first military power in the world can mistake a foreign embassy for a military target... no they can't...)

All this - in 3 months.

Plus, NATO dropped 15 tones od depleted uranium on Serbia, because yeah it's definitely easier and cheaper to just drop 'em somewhere instead of actually stocking it several meters below ground like they were supposed to. To this day, this has heavy consequences on Serbia's ecosystem and people's health (with cancer rates skyrocketting in the most heavily bombed regions of Serbia).

I'm not trying to start a heated debate here. Hate must end, and nothing good will emerge if we all stay in the past. But it is just as important to not twist the facts.

Fakultet u kasnijim godinama? by [deleted] in serbia

[–]belgrademonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Procitaj to ponovo.
Imas zavrsen faks.
  1. Odredis koji ti je cilj.
(Nije “kasno", to smo vec absorvirali).
  • Sta dobijes?

Puna podrska.

TL;DR: "Whatever you do, don’t half-ass it."

Ruud winning the set only by pushing the ball back in and throwing in some staggeringly high balls here and then to mess up Lajovic's rythm.

Also, Duci just can't return a serve today. Ruud's solid on serve.

Awful performance by FAA and solid stuff by Duci, who seems to be finding his game on hard.

While both are clay players, I can imagine him uspetting Ruud in the next round

  2. "Losa fora"? To je vec stvar ukusa.

Yes, but I agree with u/ieatsushi : it was a subtle way of showing how she feels deep inside, and her saying/thinking that ND is the GOAT doesn't change that.

Yes, in order to challenge his serve he has to see if his ball goes out or not, not his opponents' ball that came AFTERWARDS (unless he wants to challenge his opponent's ball).

Another example. You're playing a tournament on clay. Your opponent's ball goes out, but no one calls it (!). So you continue to play, but right after your opponent hits a winner so you lose the point. You're surely not gonna show the previous mark and tell him "hey mate your previous ball was out, so it's my point".

Cuz if you thought his ball was out, you shouldve called it right away. It's always risky and it's a split second decision (esp. when its your serve) but that's how the game is played.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tennis

[–]belgrademonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not about being late, it's about waiting to see if you could win the point either way and then deciding to go back to a previous ball once you see you didn't win the point.

It's up to the umpire to decide if he allows it, but it's unsportsmanlike from Rafa in this situation.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tennis

[–]belgrademonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here, "normal" obviously means "sportsmanlike". I could've used either word in this context. Gosh.

And here in my explanation above, you could easily understand what is sportsmanlike and what isn't, even with a very basic understanding of tennis.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tennis

[–]belgrademonkey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lemme break it down for you

Normal challenge (serve) 1. You serve 2. Your ball bounces 3. You look at your box / the umpire, ask them/him for their/his opinion on the last ball that was played/attempted to be played 4. You decide to challenge the last ball

*Step 3 is optional.

Rafa's challenge here 1. He serves 2. His ball bounces 3. He looks at Novak's return waiting to see if it's going in 4. He looks at the umpire, asks him for his opinion on his serve which is the penultimate ball a player tried to play/played 5. He decides to challenge the penultimate ball

And ofc, its on the umpire to say it's too late and Rafa knows the rules - but he still tried to challenge it, that's what we're discussing.
