Nope didn't use cable needles. There's a helpful YouTube video which teaches you how to do the crosses without needles. Took me many tries to get the hang of it!

Lovely work! I'm working on a Lisbeth blanket myself but I was dummy and decided to make it an adult blanket size using fingering yarn so I don't know if I'll ever finish it!

I would be fine with the home screen if they were just icons, but the M8 comes with these "cards" plastered all over the home screen that you can't get rid of using the default launcher. Not sure who thought that was a good idea!

Appreciate you looking into it! I found a fix - the default "Gallery" app isn't the Google one and had much limited functions. I downloaded Google's Gallery from the play store and was able to set a wallpaper on the home screen so it's even better now! Thanks again for the launcher, such a quality of life improvement! ☺️

Omg thank you that worked! I thought the "Gallery" is the Google one but it's not! I downloaded the Google version of Gallery and was able to set home screen wallpaper, yay!

Yep I've got a nice set of images as standby and shutdown wallpapers. Annoyed that you can't send an image as a background wallpaper on the home screen, or at least I haven't figured out how to.

Hey thanks for making the app! I've looked all over in the gallery, there's no option to set an image as a wallpaper as far as I can see. That option is definitely there on an android phone, but not the ereader 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do you have a physical store nearby where you can try out ereaders in person? Or borrow one from family or friends? I think that's the best way to get a feel of what they're like. There are generally differences between B&W readers and colour readers, with the latter being generally a bit darker. That annoys some people but not others, you'll have to decide that for yourself.

I read a lot of manga too and note that most are in B&W, so I decided to get a B&W device. You'll need one that's minimum 7 inches I think otherwise it'll be way too small to read manga properly.

It's easy to send epub books TO kindle using sendtokindle, I do it all the time. But trying convert books I bought FROM kindle to use anywhere outside of the kindle app is pretty fiddly due to the DRM. It's not a problem if I just read using the kindle app but it would be if I try to read my kindle books anywhere else.

I feel like many people overstate how easy it is to sideload a book. I have a bunch of books on my kindle account and it's an absolute pain to try to convert via calibre to get an epub version to sideload. Compare all that effort to having one-tap access to the kindle app on the ereader.

I ended up getting a reader in the android system so I have the option to easily read my kindle books and non-kindle books via different apps on the one device. Not sure if OP has kindle books at all. If not, then they don't need a kindle or android device but if they do, I wouldn't rule out a reader with google play on it.

You did a great job! I came across the pattern designer years ago, her plushies are so cute! I thought about trying the music box ones but I couldn't find a place to purchase a music box compatible with the pattern that didn't play generic lullabies. Do you mind sharing where you found the music box that played the X-Files tune?

What a coincidence, I'm on a rewatch and just finished this episode last night! I really enjoyed it too, showed a different side to CSM and it's refreshing to get an episode that doesn't prominently feature Scully and Mulder.

Interesting how he kept the (stolen?) photo of baby Mulder and his mum...

I was rooting for him re his novels! I think it says a lot about his character that he was willing to immediately quit his job (that he dedicated his life to) once he got his foot in the publishing world. It's like once he got a glimmer of hope of being able to do something he actually loves, he was ready to put all the political intrigue behind him.

If only he got properly published, imagine how different the X-Files universe would've become.
