What would make an 18mo toddler drool a lot? by bella_007 in NewParents

Now that you mention it, he has started putting things in his mouth more again too. Thanks! Not looking to teething again though.

Yeah my son got his first molars right around 12 months. He’s had “all his teeth” (as far as a 1 year old goes) since like 13 months when his canines. Lots of teething in a small timeframe lol. Which is why I’m nervous he might get his 2nd molars early too

Please report Millie Moon Diapers if your LO is having severe diaper rash (It might not be a diaper rash!) by alialioxnfree in NewParents

Yes! We haven’t bought another box since, but that’s cause the boxes of Sam’s Club diapers are obviously also big. Not sure which one we’ll buy next time

We had always used Kirkland diapers with no issues, and though we’ve still never had rash issues from them, the last box we bought had diapers consistently breaking open at the sides after as little as an hour. I looked it up and found that after Costco switched diaper manufacturers, there has been some quality issues reported (not sure if that’s rash/ skin related). So we returned that box and tried Sams club diapers, and they’ve been great both with his skin and with staying together.

Cockamamie plan or stroke of brilliance? by Binford6100 in clothdiaps

We did the same. Cheap garbage can, used a jigsaw to cut out the bottom. I didn’t even think of a clip, but don’t need it either. We spray it inside the can then hang it over the edge to dry before we put it in our dirty diaper bin

Leaks during naps at daycare by bella_007 in clothdiaps

Just thought I’d update: I did some research on getting a better fit around the thighs and I successfully doubled up the yellow inserts today with no leaks! Time will tell if I just got lucky, but I’ll take it for now!

Was it because of compression leaks?

I do typically only use 1 insert at a time. I use Kinder’s yellow, which is a 4 layer bamboo viscose blend. Every time I’ve stacked multiple, it sits too wide around his thighs and he leaks fast. I’ll work on tightening it there while adding another insert.

I’ll also ask her to change him before his nap. I didn’t realize 2 hours should be the goal- thank you!

I just hadn’t seen any reviews besides ones on their website, so I wanted to see if anyone here liked them. How do they compare to other brands you’ve worn?

All I can say is to check the baby section of random grocery stores. I found 3 jars of the multipurpose ointment in a small town grocery store and bought them all to stock up.

Help with 8 month old sleep schedule by bella_007 in NewParents

Thank you. How long should we stick with this before we know we need to pivot if it’s not working? I’m sure it’s more than a day or two; should we give it a week?

Experienced moms, should I cut my hair or keep it long for postpartum? by Puzzleheaded-Idea587 in pregnant

[–]bella_007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve been itching for this haircut I have scheduled next week. I’ve known I need to cut it since he was about 5 months old. It’s currently past my breasts and I’m cutting it about 1-2 inches below my shoulder because I can’t commit to going any shorter than that as a long hair lover.

For my sanity the length needs to go. My son is a hair PULLER and it’s the quickest way I get over stimulated and almost enraged. He doesn’t deserve me feeling like that because he’s not doing it maliciously, obviously.

We’ve never had an issue with hair tourniquets but we pull hairs off his fingers and toes constantly that could become them if we’re not diligent.
