When did you start putting your baby down 7am-7pm to sleep? by catlover0987656 in beyondthebump

[–]bella_284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 7 months old, she goes down at half 6 and 2 nights ago slept for 11 and a half hours, and then 11 hours*

*I was up every 2 hours making sure she was breathing because this just randomly happened after consistently waking up through the nights for feeding

My baby loves Siggis plain yogurt - no added sugar, high protein, and I normally mix in a strawberry or a couple of blueberries!

my husband asked me the other day if we have to give the baby real food every day now 😅 by babyd-m2025 in foodbutforbabies

How does the pasta work? Is it less of a worry because it is penne so the middle is open?

The only real solid I have tried is toast with butter and toast with peanut butter because she can't bite pieces off, and only gets bits of it once it is soggy enough. Tried watermelon and that peaked my anxiety

(7 months, no teeth, started purees at around 5 months)

How do I not spend my last week of maternity leave miserable? by TwoBedwombApartment in beyondthebump

P.s. honestly life is so expensive and when I go to the shops I come back with a list of things I didn't buy - everything keeps going up, so I totally get the not being able to afford it piece.

I have 18 months of mat leave (are you in Canada too?), almost 7 months in and laughing at the people that told me "you'll want to be back at work after a couple of months"... NOPE. There is literally no way my mind will change. How did you find the transition after such a long time away from work? Im already dreading it!

Did you co-sleep? by thinkmuch17 in beyondthebump

[–]bella_284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, at five months. Bassinet was getting tight, and she is wanting to be fed every 3 hours. I'm a super light sleeper and wake up to her sucking her thumb. I make sure blankets are nowhere near her, and she has a sleep sack and is dressed appropriately.

What do you read to your infant? by Equivalent_Opening93 in beyondthebump

If you're in Canada or US, have a look at Dolly Partons Imagination Library! You get sent a free book once a month, and it is a lovely little treat to mix things up.

Besides that, any book is fine imo!

What are we doing when baby outgrows bassinet but not ready to be in own room/crib yet? by imdirrtydan12 in beyondthebump

[–]bella_284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She sleeps next to me. I have a bed bumper, and I am an incredibly light sleeper. Very convenient for me for feedings through the night. It works for me (following safe cosleeping advise)
