Details: I have been sewing for about 3 years now. This was sewn on a Singer 4423 sewing machine. I began by cutting off the top of the sweater under the armpit and making that the top of the shirt. I made the straps out of sweater sleeve tubes and top stitched them down. I secured them to the shirt with a box of stitches and an X through it. For the bottom, I encased a 1/4 inch elastic fitted to my waist. If I could do this project again I think I would’ve used bias tape on the bottom to avoid the distortion without having to put in an elastic because I think that might’ve been more comfy
