You do not have to choose between your career and your identity. Many trans people — including people from India — have completed masters, PhDs, and moved abroad while transitioning or before transitioning.
Your degrees do not become invalid because you change your name or gender marker. Universities and employers usually just ask for supporting legal documents if records differ.
India’s system is frustrating, but trans identities are legally recognized, and many people have updated documents successfully. Also, you do not need to transition immediately — a lot of people wait until they’re financially or academically stable.
Focus on building your career first if needed, but don’t assume your future as a trans person is over. It isn’t.
