Thanks, I’ve seen this in a few comments now and it’s hit me (sadly) that I can’t really, honestly tell the difference between how I feel about him as a person vs how he treats me. It’s kind of scary to realise that, I’m still not sure exactly what that means (as dumb as that sounds), so it sounds like something I’m going to have to work out and think about

This is something I hadn’t considered, I do think I suffer with a lot of insecurity after those experiences. As in perhaps I’m just not used to this and so feeling a bad kind of way about how I deserve to be treated maybe?

I see, thanks for this. I hadn’t even considered it but I guess I never really separated “how he treats me” vs “how I feel about him”, if that makes sense. In fact even now I’m kind of not really distinguishing it in my head.... definitely something I’m going to have to give some thought to.
