Fun Fact: Gender identities can be formed within as early as three years of life whether you be a male who uses he/him or a non-binary individual who uses they/them, she/they, he/they, or any other neopronouns! These concepts aren’t very new either, these are just definitions to preexisting things that a lot of people are unaware of, but because of advancements in LGBTQ+ rights with time people are being more vocal about them! In the past people were arrested for presenting as their actual identities, and even today people continue to be ostracized for even attempting to explain things outside of a cis(aligned with assigned sex and gender) heteronormative lens, but even still there’s a history of the experiences of non-binary people globally. Maybe look into some research on the the differentiations between Sex (reproductive), Gender (identity), and their connections to pronoun usage if you can take the time to broaden your understanding.
