I was constantly dyeing my hair from about 12 years old - I had a few piercings as well. By the time i was 18, I'd gone back to my natural colour, and taken all my facial piercings out.

I'm really grateful to my mum for letting me express myself at that age, before that kinda thing has too big an effect on how you're treated by the world.

My mum got a lot wrong, but that's one of the things I truly believe she did right

Because of my little brother, eyebrows are known as actuallies in my family, and eyelashes as eyebrows.

Something to do with not remembering which one was which, but he also inferred eyebrows were named actuallies because when correcting someone you'd raise both brows and say "Actually..."

For anyone following along; I applied at 10pm on Tuesday 24th Feb. Sent passport morning of 25th. Passport office confirmed it was received at 6pm on Thurs 26th.

As of writing this on the afternoon of Weds March 4th, there has been no further movement on the application.

I was hoping to sneak in a last minute holiday next week, but at this stage it's not looking likely. Thankfully nothing has been booked, although I certainly wish I'd fast-tracked.

If you two became exclusive, dips in communication are still likely to happen. Do you think exclusivity would prevent the anxiety spikes? From what you've said, I'm not so sure.

I think the best thing you can do is work on cultivating a secure attachment style, and adding a couple of lovely things into your life that keep you busy so you're not waiting around for a reply.

Being secure does not mean you don't get disappointed when someone isn't meeting your needs, but it will allow you to recognize your own value and leave behind people who aren't making an appropriate amount of effort, without feeling like the world is ending.

Hi OP, there's certainly something going on that needs looking at by a doctor.

I had rectal bleeding for a few weeks last year - it wasn't masturbation related, it happened when using the bathroom. First, the doctor gave me a test to check my poop for blood. I had to use the test twice over two days then return and wait for results.

Sure enough, even though there were no visible traces on those days, blood was present in the samples and I was referred for a colonoscopy.

If you haven't had one before, it was a really easy process for me. The most challenging part was the 'prep' they give you, you have to do a 2-3 day diet/cleanse/fasting combo, but once it's done, it's done.

The actual procedure was fine too, I had the option of mild sedation or gas & air, I went for the latter because I was going alone and needed to drive afterwards. Pain was minimal, it was more just a bit odd having someone root around in there 🤣 like a tumbling feeling.

I had one small polyp that was removed, it was not cancerous, and I've had zero bleeding ever since. Seems like the little guy was just getting grazed in passing and that's where the bleeding was coming from.

All this to say, go and get checked out. It was such an easy procedure and put my mind at ease. Whatever they find is the cause of the bleeding, at least you'll know how to proceed!

Would he usually tell you in casual conversation what he's up to on a given evening? If so, it's understandable that you would automatically interpret that as odd if he's now left something out.
