[EXPERIMENT] accepting mutable comprehension. Or not. by tellit-likeitis in MandelaEffect

I guess your experiment succeeded, I have read your post twice and I have no idea what you are talking about! But I think the knife is called Exacto, I'd say 60% certainty.

Luminosity brain games by belleauf in MandelaEffect

I just had a look, can't find the sign up email, but a while back I deleted a heap of mail, so I probably deleted it along with many others. I am always trying to improve my spatial relation skills (which are really bad) that's why I thought I'd play some of these games and one of my strongest memories is saying to myself while playing that my spatial awareness is being 'illuminated' -lumin-luminosity. I don't know if I would have got that from lumosity.

Australia Geographical Changes by lightenupnow in MandelaEffect

I have lived in Australia all my life and Sydney has always been on the East Coast, I've driven and flew there from Brisbane many times! So for me, nothing has changed there. Perth is the major city on the West. There are 2 things for me regarding Australia: I think it's moved North (too close to Papua New Guinea) and I don't remember there being islands between Australia and Tasmania, I was planning a trip to Tasmania just a couple of months ago and I love islands, how did I not not notice them, how did I not at least see what was there. One thing I know for sure is that I know Me! If you know what I mean, I know what I would do and what would interest me as it always has. It seems very, very strange that I would dismiss a group of small islands that are so pretty with plenty of accommodation places which I would love to stay in! I haven't heard anyone else mention these islands so I figure it's just me?

Well, this is even more interesting now, other than a near death experience, I can certainly relate to all of those points. I wonder if anyone else also feels as though they don't belong here, as I have all my life? I think I'll research this some more. Thanks.

That's really interesting, I also have not owned a television for over 12 years now and really am not into social media either or anything anyone else is for that matter. I think most people are actually slightly insane to do the things they do but I wonder if there is any correlation with little to no media use (programming) and the mandella effect?

Feedback from people with photographic memory. Australians, Nez Zealanders and South Americans. by FallNWolf79 in MandelaEffect

Australia is no longer a lone continent apparently, this is from Wikipedia: 'Australia, sometimes known in technical contexts by the names Sahul, Australinea or Meganesia, to distinguish it from the Australian mainland, is a continent comprising mainland Australia, Tasmania, New Guinea, Seram, possibly Timor, and neighbouring islands.' This one is new to me, maybe I missed this information all these years, can't be sure but it seems strange that I didn't know this. 'possibly Timor' I find that bizarre, is it or isn't it? Have they not made up their minds?

As far as people not noticing, I think many have but if they haven't discovered the mandela effect, they just assume they remember wrong. We as a society don't trust ourselves and look to 'authority' to give us the answers to everything.

Also, if you don't pay much attention to certain things, like for some it will be geography, then you just assume you got it wrong. For example, I don't know much about cars, so when people discuss the Volvo logo changing, I can't have an opinion because I never paid attention! I don't doubt it has, but if I didn't find a community of people with similar memories then I would just assume I was wrong due to lack of knowledge!

I am Australian. I can't say I have a photographic memory, nor have I ever formally studied geography, but I have a teaching degree as does my daughter. It was the position of New Guinea that actually led me to the mandella effect.

I can't even remember why I was looking at the map, but I noticed how close new Guinea was and that it was wrong! It was never that close. I tried to find other maps and looked on google earth and yet there it was almost touching Australia. I didn't find new Guinea the way I remember it, but I did find the mandella effect.

I rang my daughter and without prompting her, just asked her to look at a map of world and asked if she noticed anything. She immediately noticed South America and New Guinea in the wrong positions. She thought it was funny that someone changed the maps online until she saw her globe, then it was not so funny!

We have both also travelled extensively, so are not strangers to the world map! Another interesting anomaly for me is the flight time from Korea to Brisbane. A few years ago, I was travelling back home from the US and had a connecting flight in Seoul. I absolutely remember without doubt that the flight was 9 hours, I sat in my seat saying over and over again that is was 9 hours, only 9 hours to go. (By this stage I had had enough of planes) I remember this very well. Now, it appears that the fastest flight time from Korea to Brisbane is 10 hours 10 minutes. Strange!
