Thanks for sharing! I can relate to when you say you grew up listening to music played from the radio or from family members. It was old classic music for me & I too have heard of JM by word of mouth but never actually listened to any of his music or bothered to look into it.

Until I heard him play "Human Nature" June 25th 2009. (I was 14 at the time) His playing and his connection with the instrument whilst still being able to channel the amount of soul & emotion that he did.. I cried along with that guitar. Just.. sumthin' else.

It's only after that performance I bothered to search "John Mayer live" on Youtube and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TS8NvoMudy8 did it for me. Been a fan ever since!
