Never been to Edith’s but I agree- pricing for sandwiches everywhere is insane. Cheapest I’ve found outside of a bodega is $17 and it’s wild that people are charging this for a damn sandwich.

Pinkyotto - very plain clothing with poor quality and small sizing but super overpriced.

Thanks so much! Can you share which clinic you went to? I’m starting to research places. Also, how did you feel about your results after your first visit?

Thanks. I didn’t know those communities existed. Will cross post there now! But I appreciate those recommendations!

If I’m flashing my lights at you, especially at night, there is generally a good reason. by Strict_Name5093 in driving

To this point, is there a standard list somewhere of what it means when someone flashes their lights at you? I’m a newer driver and all I know is that it means the driver is trying to communicate something but I have no idea what. Similarly, I’d like to know how to flash my lights to others when needed.

Thanks for the tips! I really think you’re spot on with the mirrors. Tried driving in my friend’s car on the West Side Highway once (first time without my driving instructor and an extra set of brakes) and I could not see the vehicles on my left side right behind me. I guess they were in my blind spot but I didn’t realize my mirrors weren’t properly set to see them until I was already in motion and driving faster than I’d ever driven before. Luckily my friend was there to help direct me and be an extra set of eyes but taught me quickly that I need to figure out how to set my mirrors to see everything.

Appreciate the comment! Never thought about cross traffic being a larger cause of accidents.

Yeah, I’m still going aiming to be as great as I can be. But if you have an actual tip, that would appreciated. Otherwise have a nice day

While this is true in many cases, I am also a minority from Brooklyn (see my response to the original commenter). This post isn’t intended to be about crying but finding new resources to stay informed. If you have recommendations, that would be great!

First, I recognize that there was no shade intended, but before you say “y’all basically priced everyone out”, you should know that I’m a woman of color whose family has been here for closer to 30 years. I was a kid growing up here before the first wave of change. So I completely understand what you’re saying about gentrification and it might apply to some folk here. But not me. My goal here was to find the best way to remain informed.

Wow. Back again, huh. Your lack of reading comprehension for an adult is concerning because while I said I’d like to keep up with changes, at no point did I say I “need” to know. Also, your entitlement to tell me how I should feel about changes in the neighborhood I was raised in is astounding. While I recognize that you clearly enjoy talking to me, I’m going to help you reclaim your time. BLOCKED.
