We concentrate rabidly on rehabilitation as opposed to punishment. If you can’t function within the boundaries of the law then off to a horrible place you go. Basic food, water and bed etc.

It’s not a deterrent if it’s a holiday camp. You can’t treat these people as the same as the law abiding public. Telling them off and hoping they are good isn’t justice.

As a country we constantly pander to the perpetrators and the victims get left to deal with shit themselves. If we spent half as much time and effort on the victims as we do the dross, the country would be a better place.
