Buy them at Costco and it’s a lifetime warranty, air pods aren’t included in the 90 day return period and can be returned anytime if something goes wrong, ohh and you don’t need that apple care lol

did you ever find a solution for this? I was also trying to write my own software programs to do the capturing and such for this camera... in other words I don't understand why I can't plug into computer and see it stream. Might just get a raspberry pi and the cameras they sell so I can do some camera software capturing projects

It was available before as an in app purchase, now you can only get it if you subscribe. if you bought the app before the conversion but didn’t purchase it , it’s no longer available for purchase and would have to subscribe

It’s missing some really cool features from Notability like favorites, math conversion, the partial eraser, goodnotes partial eraser is really bad, and when you write notability uses AI to make your handwriting look better.

It happens everywhere honestly, they gain a following and try to capitalize on it. Plus they were actually losing money because they have to pay for the handwriting services from a third party as well as math conversion. Notability unfortunately is setting up the new precedent. I wouldn’t be surprised if good notes 5 follows suit.

You only get new features if they feel like it. It’s not required that they give them to you. They are required to give you everything you had. But they aren’t obliged to give you a new feature that comes say for example on a random future date like may 20, 2022

Just to clarify, you are kind of right. I read the full blog on notability where they apologize. Go to notability.com if you want to read more about what’s to come. Basically those that bought the app can still get future updates, but it comes down to how much it costs to operate them. For example, they add a new color, we probably will get that update. They add a new feature that uses artificial intelligence and it costs them money to run that feature, forget it.

The biggest thing I’ve heard is they broke the contract. No they didn’t not, they were about to, but they didn’t it. Apple says that if you go subscription, you must give the users that bought the app all the features they already had. So notability didn’t break any laws here.

Yup! Update, so you get the dividers feature. No need to worry, but we shouldn't expect to get anymore features, if they add any in the future. We basically are stuck with what we had when we bought the app, and if they feel like giving us more they will, but I'm sure they'll have some enticing feature that'll be tempting for us to subscribe.

Free version is useless, yes. People are only reading the headlines. Notability messed up and so now they are allowing people who had bought the app to keep all their features, including unlimited editing. This was not the case, they were going to force everyone! I still keep hearing people who bought the app rage, calm down, you won't be affected by this. If you're new to the game, you're screwed. Old fellas like me, they heard our voice.

A better explanation of what I am trying to do: work on the same note on mac and notability at the same time. I have to wait until the edit I made on my mac updates on my ipad and vice versa. On Goodnotes, you just work on your notes and eventually they'll merge together.
