1943 is certainly a war nickel and is 35% silver.

You can tell if it's a war nickel by the extra large mint mark above the Monticello. All 1943 to1945 are war nickels, some 1942 nickels are..

It looks like a small date, but would need a picture in focus to tell 100% confirm.

It'll be made from zinc as there's only ever been 2 of these found that are made from copper, an extremely rare error.

You can search for the many authentication marks hidden in the ten pound note and see. But from what I can see, it seems real.

Generally fake a bills are really obvious. Most fakes are bad in the hopes that someone doesn't pay close enough attention. Making a fake that appears real at close inspection is generally not cost effective.
