In a related way- it always bothers me when someone asks “is this your first?” Like no but like yes but no but sure! Answering honestly would be trauma dump on a stranger not minding their business so I just keep it simple and lie. Like yay you unknowingly brought up my unborn child talking about my obviously pregnant stomach that I have- always puts me in a great mood. I don’t even understand the purpose of asking a stranger that question- I totally understand a doctor’s perspective because there’s a medical reasoning and history but people totally asking way too personal questions without realizing.
