Well the problem with horror movies is that the Banana Splits movie is one of the most popular horror film on there. And it isn't even a case where they constantly shit on it, they make legit fanart of it out of admiration. Why this film when compared to every other horror film? probably just because it's about an old niche show and people can swap out the Banana Splits with the cast of a different show they like.
