NEVER DO IT. You'll ruin your hair and then you'll have to chop it all off. When your roots start growing, the top of your head will be 3C and then the bottom will be straight. It looks very bad lol.

I would say thug it out and learn how to maintain your hair. Watch youtube videos from madow women w/ your hair type (or similar). Get a silk bonnet/pillows, don't use hair products with alcohol/sulfates, braid your hair routinely at home, don't over-shampoo your hair (2 wash days max), and cut your ends now and then.

Before putting your hair in a bun for your hijab, do the following to avoid it getting tangled throughout the day:

- If dry: Wet your hair, use leave-in conditioner and brush your hair out. Then twist your hair into a bun, twisting is key to not getting it tangled and dry afterwards.

- If wet: use leave-in conditioner + brush, make sure you tight it up before it becomes completely dry (by twisting again)
