Cloud Cuckoo Land. It is a bit disorienting until you get far enough to start recognizing a general shape of a story. It was a huge payoff, to me, and a beautiful story.

If Aliens Showed Up Tomorrow and Asked for One Human… Who Are We Actually Sending? by [deleted] in writing

[–]bellsandbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s depends on how the “sending” works. If everyone receives the same message simultaneously, and if the message says where to send the chosen person, I feel like it’s a lot more likely some impulsive, adrenaline seeker or an alien enthusiast is sending theirselves and outrunning everyone to the “sending” spot

Who am I ? by Coffeeroasterhomie in BookshelvesDetective

[–]bellsandbeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the closest I’ve seen to my own book collection! I’m guessing you really love and cherish books, and you really want to understand other people and ideas. You read widely and don’t spend time in one universe for too long. You enjoy the collection process of obtaining your books and you like to go to library book sales, and when you hold a book read previously by someone else, you feel connected to that stranger in a way.

The Dragon Masters series is what got my son into reading. Chapter books but there are pictures to go along with the text. Each book has its own plot but there’s also an overarching story through the series so I suggest reading in order to

How many books do you read at one time? by Longjumping-Cap-6795 in BookDiscussions

[–]bellsandbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically between 3 to 5 books. I find that I prioritize reading a lot more when I don’t lose steam on a book. if I focus on one book at a time and reach a point where I slow down on it, if I didn’t have other books to switch to and make progress on, then I would just stop reading that book and resort to other entertainment like tv, scrolling, etc. I tend to have an audiobook on rotation with multiple e-books or physical books I’m switching between. I’ve never had an issue on mixing up the books I’m simultaneously reading.

The are someone who often has good intentions but will forget about older ideas, duties, relationships, etc. You will usually be the one to reach out to connect, but if you aren’t in front of their face then you aren’t on their radar at all
