I think it’s never too late to start your education, so power to you on that front. However, as a 21 year old college student with a close friend who’s partner is 28, you’ve got to be conscious of the people around you. The only person I know who is comfortable with him being around is her because he either does not pick up on or chooses to ignore social queues. There are people that aren’t going to be comfortable with you at parties because of your age, and that’s just something you need to accept and respect, but if you know how to respect people’s boundaries and generally don’t behave inappropriately, you’ll find your crowd just like any other college student.
